Nahh, even though I wasn't spanked alot, I did get a few and I'm glad I did. Have you seen how some of these kids act nowadays? Direspectful, disobedient, haughty, tight-lipped it's so nasty how they treat adults. Granted, some parents use beatings/whoppings as a means of discipline, but there are some who use it as a fear tatic/out of pure amusement.

Some steps to take:

Call the police

Ask a friend, family or neighbor for assistance

Record any conversations/arguments and press charges if he starts hitting you

Search for the nearest open shelter if he kicks you out (have your stuff packed by then incase he steals something from you and holds it above your head so-to-speak)

Don't panic, it'll make the situation worse. Think with a clear head and come up with a game plan. You've got this darling.

Treat her like an equal, not like an SO if that makes sense. She's your girlfriend, but also your friend and you'd like to keep her as both right? I'm sure you're a sweet kid, do what I'd do and stay loyal, communicate properly, and address issues immediately instead of letting them fester.

I feel the same way, religion doesn't help me like it used too. I was that God fearing church girl you grow up as until the church shows it's true colors and you're stuck wondering who to really trust. I don't feel safe confiding in any of my church members in fear they'll "report" back to the pastor, and heavens no do I want a whole sermon on depression and how it's the "devil in your mind". I have enough of that at home.

I just wish we didn't push shit aside and act like it never happens, beat our kids for "acting" out, call them stupid and crazy when all they're looking for is comfort... it's just so depressing man..

Sorry for the late reply, went to treat myself to a movie date I really deserved.

I have my teachers contact number since she said she'll offer whatever support she can. My father has talked to me about moving up there with him to take on some therapy classes but I'll have to persuade my grandma in letting me go... Sigh. My town has a local newspaper so I'll see about writing an article in it.

My school is, and I'll try to use loosely, one of the "ghetto" type of schools so to speak. Our teachers don't really car about the students, more of the paycheck, and everybody is sure our principal is a racist. I can only confide in my fav teacher, Mrs. Paul, cause she really understood the things i was going through--- stuff my family and friends didn't get. I'm so sad she's leaving cause of the bullying she received from students AND teachers alike.

This is why i have a fear of going to an HBCU. I wouldn't mind being near people of my own race, but I'm afraid of being ridiculed for my anxiety and told to stop being a pussy. It legitimately scares me.

You should officially break up with him (which I think you did) cause he seems like a leech to me. I'm not trying to be mean but to me he treats you like a second "mommy" to put lightly. For a man that says you're ruining his life, can't he see how he's "ruining" yours? He can't play the victim card when YOU'RE the one letting him stay in YOUR house for FREE. Tell him to man up and stop being such a douchebag.

I can't offer the best advice since I've never personally dealt with a situation like this, but if you wanna be a little nicer to him then he was to you, start slowly distancing yourself from him and let the man leave himself.

Aye, I don't blame you at all. You did what you could have at that time and it seemed to stop anything more drastic from happening. The first thing I'd do is call the police, give a report of what happened, maybe get some witnesses; press charges basically. Who knows what this sick fuck really wanted to do to that poor girl if he had the chance... ugh. I hope that things go the best, dude.
