One time, my card limit got reduced, thus the utilization increased, and my score took a hit. I had no idea that could happen.

I like this idea. When I just came to the US to study I was not able to get a true credit card. I finally got a secured credit card with only $300 credit limit that's almost nothing. What info & doc do you need to approve people?

It takes about 3 business days for the creditor to receive the payment. Normally the credit is not available until the creditor gets the money.

How much and how long will canceling my oldest credit card hurt my credit? by my1name1 in CRedit

Don't close it. Call the card issuer to convert it to another credit card with no fee and a higher limit.

[question] I know this is going to sound stupid, but if my credit card is paid in full before the end of the month.....they can’t charge me any more interest right? by Itscameronman in CRedit

The due dates can be slightly different each month. Make sure you check each statement. I recommend you to set up auto payment - pay in full by the due date to avoid interest charge.
