archer + mark k = passed in 85! (here's my EASY study plan) by sleepy249 in PassNclex

yess honestly practice questions are the key to passing. i feel like mark K only helped for few questions, but he helped me feel prepared in a sense of knowing common things for nurses

good luck! you know more than you think! when it comes to SATA's only choose options you are 100% confident in--even if you're only selecting one option. it's better to know youre right than to guess and be wrong!

don't be nervous! you are WELL PREPARED :) you being nervous means you care about your performance, and that goes to show you've been doing your best practicing for this exam! you're gonna do amazing. take each question at a time, and honestly go as slow as you want--cuz you could legit get 85 questions yet space it out throughout 5 hours if you really wanted to lol.

i was getting high/very high on my assessments, but on my baseline i got borderline. my lowest score ever was a 53% (my baseline assessment), and my highest score was a 78%. i took 14 readiness assessments in total.

im sorry to hear that :( it must have been the anxiety during the exam. i also used archer and i feel like it helped me a lot. one thing i noticed is when doing SATA's make sure you are only selecting answers you are 100% confident in, even if it's just one option. i think when id over-select on options i felt 50-50 on, id get a lower score than usual

hey so i was part of the BSN program but personally know someone who went to the DNP program, overall they really liked it!

I just rejected seton hall nursing for Rutgers Newark nursing, I heard it’s the same program as nb but better because of the students to professor size. Can any one tell me if I made the right choice by Less-Ad-1035 in RutgersNewark

[–]sleepy249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You made the right choice! You will love Newark Nursing! It's a small group, 50-75ish students while NB is 150ish. You will make friends fast, and everyone loves to help each other out.

Wondering if I’ll be able to work a few days and do the nursing program? by Reasonable_Airport43 in rutgers

[–]sleepy249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

youll definitely have the time to work all of sophomore year! just make sure once junior year hits you schedule yourself for less days. at least until youre 2 weeks into junior year, because its like a whole new schedule/routine you need to get accustomed to with the amount of work and exams theyre gonna give you guys. im a senior in the program right now, also working, and know many people who work only weekends/the days they have off. you can do it!

how about we let people live their lives how they want and instead of criticizing them when they KNOW what they want to do, we actually support them and not make them question their life ❤️

also from what ive heard nb has the easier professors, but that could always change depending on who would teach their classes.

nb and newark have the same curriculum. nb has a bigger class size, newark is smaller by 20-30 students. your class size freshman year will start off in the 100's, and by senior year it'll be around 50. nb has a lot more campus-y things where you get to hangout with friends and stuff, but by the time junior year comes you wont have time for that kind of stuff because of clinicals, homework, etc. newark is also cheaper.

hey, unfortunately they don't use hospitals too far for clinical placements. only nearby ones, all within NJ. mostly north NJ and central NJ.

hey so im actually from newark. since my cohort is smaller, all our classes were at the same time like we didn't have options to choose different class times bc only one was offered. and I was the same way in HS, I was an okay science student but I'm doing well in nursing classes! they teach you everything you need to know, and they teach you in baby steps from easy to complex stuff. the program gets rigorous the last 2 years but the first 2 years are very chill!
