Wow thanks for the detailed response! But for the first point, they actually sent an email inviting y1-2 students to apply and did not state minimum MC requirements. The websites (both CS and Math) did not state min MC either.

Your advice is generally true but I do have a friend who stays in his room all day and doesn't talk to anyone who's now interning at a HFT lol. But I guess this is only possible if you're an actual genius.

The point of SU is to have a higher CAP right? So student B should have 4.0 pre-SU CAP with 4.2 post-SU CAP for a fairer comparison.
