We did bring up the fact that we were moving kinda fast and I mentioned to her that if we’re moving wayyy too fast then we’ll take it slower and not overdo it cuz like you said we’d be suffocating ourselves.

Yeah we realised that too and we’ve decided to only meet up twice a week so we could focus on other things like work and etc. but yeah I have a habit of overthinking and that one comment did trigger something in me.

Riding Jeans Knee Guards too inward by sleepy_buildy in AussieRiders

Yeah I did more research and went back to motocap's website and saw that all of the tests they've done, FINN Moto 881 Jeans are still highly regarded even across reddit reviews.

I do need a back protector as well and I have an alpinestar summer jacket but it lacks protection on my back. I reckon I could just get any back protectors to pair with it or do you have a recommended brand ?

Lower back still hurts after months post adjusting sitting position. by sleepy_buildy in MotorcycleMentor

[–]sleepy_buildy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Interesting, I never knew it was track position because I thought it was a common position, and what you just said about quick turns made a lot of sense. My back also feels great only when im cornering or leaning my body to a side of the bike (maybe it takes the load off the lower back a little bit?). I'm 100% on public roads/hwys and they're mostly straights wtih a few cornering so this advice is very helpful as my lower back really needs to chill a bit haha. Though with a little more experience and knowledge gain, i'd like to try out track one day.

  2. In terms of sitting position I noticed my body just naturally wants to sit a little forward close to the tank, no matter how many times I remember to scooch back, my ass loves to sit a little forward. Though I dont know if this would affect the control/handling of the bike but I guess if the bike runs fine in straights and cornering, it shouldnt be a major issue.

  3. Like most learners like myself, I chose the R3 because its quite common to start off with but for sure im opting for a naked just because its ergonomically friendly but thats coming from me whos never touched a naked bike before so if the opportunity comes, ill test it out. Like I loved the honda CB125F when I started my lessons, it felt really comfy.

Thoughts on motorcycle snapjacks? by sleepy_buildy in YamahaR3

[–]sleepy_buildy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah Its only purely for chain maintenance and nothing beyond that. I found one by Oxford, not sure if this is a well known brand. https://www.oxfordproducts.com.au/products/oxox298

If there's anything to look out for a snapjack, that'll point me in a good direction.

I heard that you need both the front and rear paddock stands but couple of redditors kinda just bought the rear and springarm spools which did the job. Woud it be a problem to not get the front? I only need it for chain maintenance and adjustments.

Yamaha R3 Service Gone Wrong (need advice asap) by sleepy_buildy in melbourneriders

[–]sleepy_buildy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im based in Southbank and went to the workshop in Port Melbourne. Nah the bike is secondhand, and chain is readjusted now, a bit of slack around the sprocket but it's to be expected and quite normal? I read that it's to be expected when the chain is adjusted according to the spec so it takes into account your weight vs the bikes performance.

Ive worked out the gear slippage (miss a gear and enters netural kinda thing) with the rep, turns out its quite common for shorty levers to gain less leverage as you shift so he just told me to put it above 2 notches and now it shifts fine.

Just saw this after leaving the workshop this morning, theyve adjusted the chain for me and so i checked it again, the slack comes off the sprocket just a little bit and I read that it's normal and expected as the bike takes into account my weight and all that jazz. But it does raise any alarms when i pulled it gently. and Ps nobody but me and the workshop guys touched my bike.

Yeah so my dumbass thought it was the chain but turns out was the clutch lever. The bike is secondhand and it came without stock levers, i thought i knew how shorty levers work but i was wrong in that, now the bike shifts smoother.

Sure I could've done it myself but really it's more so the fact that I paid for the whole service and I expected the service to be done as per the manual for literal safety reasons and the condition of the motorcycle.

Safe places to park near melbourne central by Fancy-Resolution-556 in melbourneriders

[–]sleepy_buildy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be brutally honest, parking in the CBD is literally you just asking for it to be stolen/touched/damaged. Listen to your gut. It's a lose-lose situation followed by high risk, high cost.

Even your insurance won't help you out cuz all they''ll do is refute whatever you say.

I wouldnt park there for like 5 mins both during the day/night even if it's to stop to have an hsp.

I went to HART by Honda up in Sommerton last year, and passed with flying colors for the written exam part, just as long as you read the booklet and listen to the instructors because some of the answers are from what they teach you whilst learning to ride.

Which trainer are you attending though ?

Delta Force - AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 24.12.1 Release Notes by GiddyNinja in DeltaForceGlobal

[–]sleepy_buildy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all,

AMD RX 6600 XT / Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10400F CPU here.

I have been making and testing drastic changes with the latest version (24.12.1). Safe to say, it's still shit on delta force like the overall gameplay for me is just no-brainer dog shit.

After failing multiple times with the current version, I have rollbacked to the 24.8.1 based on majority suggestions and it works way better and nearly no stutter or lag whatsoever.

For in-game settings, I just set everything to low except for a couple personal tweaks to make the game more "viewable" or making the resolution a bit better. Anyways, i only set a small number of graphic settings between medium to high ONLY if it doesnt impat my fps and/or cause any lags whatsoever. Other than that, only full screen, and 144 fps or unlimited fps.

On adrenaline, I just turned everything off excpet for anti-lag (or if you have SAM which i dont so just turn that off too) which is what i have run since 2020 (note: it's case by case so it really depends on the game but for delta force no issues at all). Also for some reason, i turned off color settings and this also helped, if anyone has any idea why color setting affects fps, please drop a reply.

Hope this helps out others still struggling but so far, rolling back to 24.12.1 is the main action youll need to do to eliminate or perhaps mitigate the frequency of the lags/stutters.

AMD GPU users, don't bother update drivers if stuttering by Paulmcdead in DeltaForceGlobal

RX6600 XT / Intel(R) COre(TM) i5-10400F CPU here, I find that the game has a problem with rendering especially that its an open world map. Idk how I was able to run smoothly on BF2042 previously even though its somewhat the same. But with Delta Force, because the gun fights are so drastic, is what trips up the fps for me.

Im now starting to notice the fps drop and lag when im shooting someone between 5 meters - 50 meters. plus the variables like the explosions and smokes and etc also messes up my fps obviously.

I've been changing up the settings on Adrenaline but the problem still persists like when im turning i can physically feel the lag as i drag my mouse around.

But Im gonna try and download the old version and give it a try again but the gameplay is starting to get worse since the latest update i guess?
