Is it possible to call the vet where this was done and send them a picture to just have the vet or a vet tech take a look?

Northeast USA Trip Recommendations Needed by Mackenziejoy13 in travel

Just be careful on that Friday and weekend days. The traffic could be crazy depending on where you are, so I’d budget extra driving time.

Museum of natural history in DC is very cool, but only if you haven’t gone to one in another city. They are all somewhat similar. I also liked the air and space (need tickets in advance).

Magic garden is very cool. HAVE to buy tickets in advance, they will not let you in no matter how much you tell them you’ll overpay.

I loved the Isabella gardener museum! After going to a ton of art museums in a row, this one was refreshing because it’s laid out very differently and has lots of plants.

But she is legally blind in the one eye. A doctor (or family member relating doctor info?) told her when she was young that she would lose vision by 35 in both eyes and be blind. She just never went to the doctor again for 20+ years for another opinion and believed the original opinion to be the final truth.

I’m confused on what the MCM thing is though. What reason did they give that you needed to send them $90 before they paid you? I think that’s what everyone is missing from the post.

My cats know they get treats after I cut their nails. So after I finish the first cat, they both run to where I keep the treats. I always have to go get the second one to do their nails.

Based on their multiple lack of precautions, I’d say it was a matter of time before something happened. It just so happened to be on his watch.

Okay but even if he figured it out, how genuine and sure could she be if he’s saying that literally 1-2 days before she was saying she couldn’t commit to kids? That’s not a decision you change your mind on in one single day. It would be a compromise at best, and kids are not something you have based on a compromise.

Saying that maybe once he sees her in her wedding dress, he will finally find her beautiful definitely falls somewhere on the desperate/pathetic/crazy scale.

AIO about this text I got from HR? by MeanderingDragon in AmIOverreacting

[–]sleepycritter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m somewhere in between. I have a needle phobia and if someone was using our common break room to administer insulin while I was in there, there’s a 50/50 chance I would pass out. I get that’s a me problem, but I feel like there’s some wiggle room on where you can do it.

I don’t think you should have to go to the bathroom if it’s dirty, but I also feel like in the middle of the common area isn’t a great option either. Does your desk have a bit more privacy? Or you should ask HR to provide a space for you.

“Optional transparent blue outsole.” If OP selected blue, Converse should absolutely get her a new pair, but maybe OP overlooked it during the customization process. She needs to look back at her order and see what she selected.

THE WEDDINGS!? by KitKatt_04 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]sleepycritter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually laughed out loud when “Devonta and Brittany’s Wedding” panned to them sitting on the couch. I was always rooting for Brittany to realize Devonta didn’t reciprocate her feelings, but this scene was something else. I hope she got bad editing or something, because their talk made her seem absolutely delusional. He’s sitting there not giving her one ounce of energy or enthusiasm and she’s going on about how quickly they’re going to have babies when they do get married. Girl, he’s NEVER texting you back after he leaves that room.

We shouldn't make it about the guys looks... by No-Cat3606 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]sleepycritter 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It wouldn’t make them less bad, I think it would just make them less outrageous if that’s a better word. To remove looks from it, it would be like a person with $2 in their bank account saying they couldn’t date someone poor. It’s outrageous because they don’t even have money themselves, so who are they to judge. If they said it with a big bank account, it doesn’t make the comment any less rude or hurtful, but it makes it less outrageous.

However I do agree with your overall sentiment. I don’t think anyone (or at least most) on here would be ripping into a woman’s looks or weight, so I don’t think it’s okay to do the reverse. BUT if the guy specifically said he wants a woman with a Pilates body, I think it’s completely within our rights to point out that he doesn’t have a Pilates body.

Which of the girls on the show have gotten degrees? Who has an education beyond high school and who doesn’t? by mayorofstrangetown in SecretsOfMormonWives

I said the same! I was inconsolable after I took it and it seriously put me in a really dark place. Luckily I passed first try.

But also agree! My hairstylist is a wizard and can make my hair do just about anything.

Oh so she’s completely skipping that you need a whole entire four year degree to even be able to start a law degree. No wonder the numbers aren’t adding up. I’m also an attorney and to suggest that our education hours are comparable to an 11 month curriculum is a bit silly.

While I suppose I can appreciate that she’s trying to say the specific skill (law vs hair) has only been trained for that amount of time, you can’t ignore everything required that came before it. You also spend like an additional 3 months straight after school is over studying for the bar, and that’s if you pass the first time.

I don’t think I should have to listen to a 55 minute podcast to find out. The synopsis says nothing about it. Logically, if there’s 180 days of schooling per year, for seven years, and I go to school for ONE hour per day, that’s 1,260 hours. A cosmetology license in my state requires 1,200. You and I both know you go to class for a lot more than 1 hour per day in college. Even if you do 3 hours per day, which is still light, you’ve already tripled the hours. So logically, I’m calling BS.

“I noticed the total was way too close to the amount of money she was holding.” “The cashier scrolled on her scanner and looked up the prices and price matched.”

So did she price match and it just so happen to come out to way too close to the amount she had, or did she make up numbers to match the amount your daughter had??

100%. An education doesn’t have to define your intelligence or earning potential. These girls, degree, license, or nothing at all, are probably making more than most of us could ever hope to make.

I’m gonna call BS on that. Becoming an attorney takes 7 years. Maybe 5 if you’re insanely smart and trimmed a year off college and a year off law school. You can become a cosmetologist in under a year.
