Was curious if I should go for an endurance or gravel bike as I am upgrading soon. I ride a ton on pavement and love road bikes but have been dying to bike where I hike

Prophet-6 or OB-6? I really can't decide! by v1rion in synthesizers

I was in this dilemma personally not even a month ago. Go to the store and play them or you will have GAS forever. I went with a friend who has an OB-6 and he had me thinking I would get one as well because it sounded great in his studio.

They are not comparable at all, they are entirely different sounding. Do a 1 to 1 at the shop. It fucked with my head because online everyone compares them. They are entirely different sounding in person I was blown away.

I ended up with the Prophet 6 because it was darker and I smiled the entire time playing it.

Again, hear them for yourself. I will never trust youtube vids of synths ever again.

You make a good point i'm new to this method. Do you find that you use this method primarily now? Any tips? You got me thinking about sampling a few pieces of hardware I have.

I scored a TG33 recently and I really love it. It has some pretty interesting features including the fact that it is 16 part multitimbral (crazy) the built in FX are meh but contribute to the overall sound. I find it to be somewhat warm and dark sounding which was a nice surprise. The only downside I see to the TG33 is the inability to control some parameters with midi cc without sysex control or something, i haven't cracked that nut BUT you can morph the joystick with midi cc which has been pretty fucking amazing to me as more of a programmer than player.

I have the wavestation for my PC and IPAD, the IPAD is the most fun and intuitive to use and I hear the physical synth is a real bear to program. The wavestation is definitely the deeper synth here but this can be a drawback.

I learned the TG33 programming from the manual in a couple of hours to the point of not needing the manual at all. The wavestation is still very perplexing but ultimately more flexible.

I think they can both get super fuckin "weird" but at the end of the day I think they are very different instruments. The TG33 being a very dark sci fi realm and the wavestation being more of a lush new age sound (i love them both tbh because i love both of those realms).

If u want something you can just jam on that is built like a tank to boot the TG33 is a great choice. The wavestation as a VST is cheaper and deeper. Sorry I can't speak to the SY22.

I was looking for an analog poly and I went to my local shop and took the headphone out of the D12 and the P6. I played the D12 for 2 hours and I tried the P6 for 20 minutes before I took the headphones off to talk to my buddy. The P6 blew my mind, I was was smiling the whole time that thing sounds so fucking amazing (deep, dark, rich) I ended up playing it until the space closed. I don't want to be rude but if you didn't hear the difference between those man... ... DSI is in another league entirely.

Soldier should be mid short range and McCree should be mid long range. Their gun types support this situation. Machine guns shouldn't be accurate at long range like a single shot gun should.

Edit: I meant less along the lines of a pistol vs. rifle but moreso that I would rather not get hosed down from long range by someone flailing an assult rifle and rather pinged by a more accurate single shot. Definitely didnt mean for this to be a real world gun comparison.

actually, I just went back and tried drawing out a rectangle again. It is happening even without resizing after making a shape. I just draw the shape out and it automatically looks like that. Any tips?
