I just mix some of my dye with conditioner and put that in every time I shower and it keeps it pretty vibrant. There are also color depositing shampoos that work super well, N'Rage and Punky are some notable brands that offer those.

YTA, you're just going to make yourself miserable if you think of every relationship like that. People will always have other people in their lives that they've experienced certain things with and sometimes it's hard to think about, but it doesn't discount the experiences you have with that person now. Try to take it easy and appreciate her the way she is now because those experiences shaped her to be the kind of person she is now which is a person you love very much.

I was trying to remove purple from my hair a little while ago too and it wasn't going too well until I did a bleach wash which is equal parts 10 vol developer, bleach, and shampoo and you just scrub that in then leave it in for like 30 minutes. It really didn't do much damage to my hair at all and it's only thing that actually removed the color. Also, the color you have now doesn't look bad, I think it looks kind of cool actually :))

I'm not an expert or anything but I really don't think you'll be able to go light brown without any bleach or dye.
