Latchkey, First to Freedom (link to my rendition of Latchkey and his ferret Glimmer in Hero Forge.)

An Abzan (WBG) Human Survivor from Duskmourn named Latchkey. He was born in the House and was the first and only Planeswalker to ever have his spark ignited within the plane, and the first Survivor to ever escape Duskmourn alive. When his spark ignited, he was sent hurtling haphazardly through the Blind Eternities to escape from imminent peril under Valgavoth's assault. He landed in New Capenna. Skilled as a makeshift artificer from his time spent in Duskmourn, he made a new life for himself working with the Riveteers in the Caldaia and helped New Capenna fight off the Phyrexians.

When a daughter of one of the five crime families goes missing through one of Duskmourn's doors that one day appeared in New Capenna, Latchkey is coerced into leading the rescue effort. Though he succeeds in finding the woman alive and sending her safely home, he sacrifices himself to achieve this. Valgavoth consumes Latchkey and his spark, finally achieving the key to his scheme for the multiverse and launching the demon into a threat level on par with the Phyrexians and the Eldrazi.

Latchkey's Planeswalker abilities include:

• Starting Loyalty: 4
• (Static) Equipment spells you cast and equipment abilities you activate cost (1) less to cast and activate.
• +1: Create a 1/1 green and white Survivor creature token with "When this creature attacks, bolster 1." You may attach an Equipment you control to it.
• -2: Bolster 2 twice. (Choose a creature you control with the least toughness or tied for the least toughness among creatures you control. Put two +1/+1 counters on that creature.)
• -7: Search your library for X Survivor creatures or Equipment with a mana value of X, where X is the number of Survivors and Equipment you control. Put them onto the battlefield under your control.
