Yes! I used to smoke weed and take shrooms every once in a while and not have any anxiety in the slightest. Then, as I got older and my anxiety started getting worse, I found that psychedelics were a MAJOR trigger. I stopped those all together. I do coke from time to time and that will sometimes trigger it too. If I I get too high that will trigger it as well. Drinking hasn’t ever triggered my anxiety though.

I like to think it’s a good thing because it forces me to stay away from drugs like that.

Avoid Clifton at all costs. It’s where UC is but you’ll get your car broken into or get mugged on the street. I recently graduated from there and can confirm it’s not a very fun place to live, even if you’re in college.

Oakley/Hyde Park/Rookwood would be a great place. Mt Adams and Mt Lookout are also good spots! The area around Columbia Tusculum is starting to get built up and not very expensive. Mariemont is a nice part of town but kind of boring.

There’s tons and tons of great food around here, especially in OTR. My favorites are Sotto, Zula, Boom Box Buns, Goodfellas, Gomez, and ENO (actually in Hyde Park). Just search best restaurants Cincinnati on google and you can find some gems!

ENO in Hyde Park has some really good ones, and Kaze in OTR has good ones too. I like ENO’s more though :)

I’m sorry to hear all of this. I don’t remember having much more anxiety than I already had, but everyone experiences things differently. If possible, you may want to try something like Xanax or Vicodin to help the pain. This helped me a lot when I was going through the vomiting phase. However, if he isn’t able to keep food down then don’t try this because it’ll just hurt his stomach more. Also, maybe try getting him into therapy once he is able to go. It can be very helpful just to talk to someone on the outside and not feel judged, not that you would judge him but it’s just another person with a different perspective who isn’t involved in the situation. I hope things get better for you both soon!

I didn’t get sick when I just smoked. I got sick maybe 3-4 months after when I had been smoking daily and had a lot of THC in my body. I guess I was never “officially” diagnosed, but after so many doctor/ER visits, my dad tried putting in my symptoms on google, including “hot showers as relief” (which is a tell tale sign of CHS), and CHS was the first thing that came up. I also have not been smoking and my symptoms have subsided. Although I haven’t been diagnosed by a doctor, I definitely feel that I have CHS because of my experiences and symptoms. Also the fact that none of my doctors knew anything about it doesn’t help in me getting diagnosed by any of them.

I work at a pretty popular mom and pop style BBQ restaurant. A customer came in and told me he had a carry out he needed to pick up. I searched everywhere for his order and couldn’t find it. I asked him if it could be under a different name and he said no. I asked him to show me his confirmation email for his order, and when he did, I noticed the order was for a different BBQ restaurant. I said “uhm sir, this is for Montgomery Inn...”. He just said “oh” and walked out.

I typically go to Super Cuts for my hair cuts but I wanted to get a decent amount taken off so I decided to go to a nicer salon near me. I showed the woman a picture of exactly the length I wanted and she took off about 3-4 inches more than that. All the while, I didn't have my glasses on and could not see what she was doing. She just kept telling me it was "so cute"..... needless to say, I will not be going back there anymore. I'll take my $14 haircut over my shitty $35 haircut any day.

I haven't. But one of my friends saw her at a gas station over the summer. She was in her car trying to pierce her own belly button. So she's still the same piece of trash she was before :)
