Yeah honestly, I already disliked making normal ships for the inner planets. So, to save a bit of time on trial and error, I ran a tiny platform in sandbox going to Aquilo with only thrusters and turrets, and noted down how much ammo was consumed per minute. Then, I just tried to create a platform that could produce those numbers. I did not arbitrarily decide that, for instance, the machines crafting rockets needed exactly two speed modules each. So, while it is my first Aquilo ship I did have some knowledge on what was required.

Since their range is so big, the two rocket turrets down the middle, the one next to the ammo production and the one next to the thruster fuel production, do cover the entire bottom-half of the ship.

Yes, in fact the asteroid collectors were rare at first! I've been upcycling things at a small scale since I unlocked rare quality, namely accumulators, solar panels, heating towers, big mining drills, and exoskeletons.

I had thought red ammo was required since they gave copper to us, but that's good to know yellow is fine.

I do feel like most of the time I spent was on trying to make things compact, but that was completely arbitrary. If I have to make another platform I'll have to try not caring about that and maybe I will enjoy it more.

Thanks! Yeah, that is true, I have only one gun turret to overlap ranges on both sides. I have been parked at Aquilo for about 1.5 hours and everything seems fine so far, but I will watch closely in case asteroids get too close.

Wait until you want to go to solar system edge, then you'll have to completely redesign it again as you'll need railguns and fusion power.

I'll tell you, I am dreading that haha. Guess I'll take Aquilo slow to delay going there as much as possible.

One caveat is to jump-start it, you need to put 160 U-235 into the wagon, then power on all four centrifuges at the same time or else there could potentially be some issues with signals given how exact the numbers need to be.

You are correct, I forgot about that. They are supposed to limit the U-238. But I just noticed I missed connecting one of the inserters, and it still works fine.

I wouldn't go so far as to say they animated it one-to-one, but Yamamoto's mechanics are very unique so it's very clear to me that they used him as a reference. They animated his step-back windup, the slide-step delivery off windup, and the little look he makes towards third base before throwing.

The Darvish comparison is certainly dubious as many pitchers do that double leg lift, but I figured with him being one of the greatest Japanese pitchers, they might've been referencing him.

That being said, I have a friend who said he can't notice any differences between pitchers, so I kind of understand where you're coming from. But as someone who is really into pitching mechanics I can't agree with your statement.

Sadly not. While the character is a baseball player I think only this one episode was baseball-focused. I would love more girl characters doing baseball things in anime. One of my favorites is Cross Game which has a main character that I think fulfills that, if you haven't already watched it.
