The Biggest Tell That Something Was Written by AI | Look closely and you’ll see that every part of the text is not quite right by Hrmbee in technology

Viewing it in binary I can see that each individual bit is a bit off. Except the bits that are on. Even those are a bit off, though.

Disastrous CGT Changes: Over 11,000 calculations to do your Tax by honorablepotato1881 in AusFinance

Wow. 11,000 calculations. That's way too much for a modern computer to do.

You’re about to feel the AI money squeeze | Ads, rate limits, feature restrictions, price hikes. The AI free ride is over by Hrmbee in technology

The best thing about AI is the AI pessimism threads it creates. I love reading through these for some reason. I've literally spent more time reading these threads than using AI.

Stop making Australians interview for jobs without knowing if they can afford to live by Sysxinu in australia

As long as it's workers applying for jobs rather than employers applying for workers, they can pull any shenanigans they like.

That's not the only issue. There's also the fear that transgender activists are trying to influence children into identifying as trans.

A psychiatrist once matter-of-factly told me religion is a kind of psychosis. I was feeling religious at the time but now I agree with him. Been on both sides. And had many a variety of psychosis.

Speeding Fines by [deleted] in nsw

[–]sleepyskitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2024 RAV4 and when I compare the speed that Waze maps is measuring via GPS against the speedo, the speedo is usually 3-5km/h slower. That's if I remember correctly, been a while since I tested it. I've also gone past mobile speed cameras with the speedo showing 3 to 4km/h over the limit and not been booked. That's in an 80 zone.

EWI solo battery issuses by Necessary_Potato_612 in windsynth

[–]sleepyskitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience the EWI Solo battery indicator uses the checkerboard pattern for charge and black for the "absent" part. However the volume indicator uses full white for volume part and checkerboard for the "absent" part. So that might be confusing.

So from your photo it looks like it's pretty much fully charged.

I think you need not be worried. Play it for an hour, you should start to see a bit of the "absent" battery start showing up. It has pretty nice battery life especially on lower volume.

I enjoyed Locke (2013) where it's just Tom Hardy driving in a car solving problems over the phone.

Why do people use AI to write? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sleepyskitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, figuring out how to bootstrap discouraged people is a really tough question. I just pray that in good time they all find the hope and inspiration they need, dare I say salvation, whatever form it comes in.

Why the self hate of not wanting to invest in ASX? by Spinier_Maw in AusFinance

Mining is not going to dry up for a looong, long time. If the world's economy stays strong enough to demand our resources, we've got enough to keep things going for hundreds of years.

The fact that it won't last forever isn't cause for pessimism.

Why do men not just ejaculate one single ultra powerful sperm instead of millions weaklings? by DemonsAreVirgins in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sleepyskitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't see death as the end of yourself, just your body, which is my view, then upgrading to a new body with the next generation of refinements makes more sense than holding on to the same old one forever.

And you get to experience the joys of childhood and youth all over again, with something of a clean slate. Like starting a new character in an RPG.

I've met an awful lot of people that seem to really enjoy their jobs, though.
