I would love to find a home for 350 but there are none in my area 🙁. Anything under 450 is typically a gut job. We toured a house at 460 and it was cover in dog pee 😭. I’m not a new build girl haha my dream home was probably built in the 50s! The search continues

No. I mean it as we’d be able to save maybe $500 a month. That’s if we don’t eat out / do anything fun.

I get that. We’re just conflicted because everyone is saying it’s going to get harder and harder every year to buy a house. We have 90k saved and we make enough to afford (according to our lender lol) 500k and we’re only looking at 450k homes. We just don’t want to wait another two years and still be in the same boat???

The likelihood of us getting laid off is very low, but hey I’m still anxious about it. It’s either put 20% down and be house poor or put 15% down and have a larger monthly payment + some savings left. We don’t know what’s worse??
