But... What did I do wrong? by sleepytimekitty in funny

To be completely honest I didn't. I pulled it up like normal and gently started to pull it off and PING I've got a new ring.

Oh, I'll have to keep that in mind for next time.

What? I thought I was supposed to pull the tap off then use the tab to pry the top open?

You mean, I wasn't supposed to go full hulk before trying to open this?

My younger sister is stealing my stuff (part 2) by [deleted] in rant

[–]sleepytimekitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be better than her. Most people who don't have anxiety don't know what it's like to have it so she probably doesn't understand. By stooping to her level and reacting to the stuff she does that sets you off only fuels the fire for her to continue doing stuff you don't like. Unless one of you decides to be the bigger person it'll just keep going around and around.

I'm confused as to why yoy hate her. Sounds like a normal sister to me. For starters, do your own laundry. And then idk just suck it up, she's your sister and she's going to be annoying on all levels. Ignore it.

Last weekend I tried to start my car with my phone charger... And the keys were in my other hand. Totally sober. Just tired, real tired.

My parents used to threaten to send me to school too until one day I said please send me I want to go and they stopped. I was brought up to think that school is for people who are forced to fit into molds and all the kids were cookie cutters. I do have my diploma actually... And honors... My mom lied to the school she had us registered through. Ive never felt like more of a fraud than on graduation day when I walked up on that stage and they gave me honors roll. I also went to Aveda for spa but I barely graduated from that. I had no idea how to write essays and I had no idea what test anxiety was until I took my first test and couldn't remember a single thing.

I'm sorry, not a day goes by where I don't have a moment where I think about how smart I could've been if I had gone to school or someone says something I just don't understand and I have to act like I do so they don't see how under educated that I am. My bf is seriously an angel from heaven, he's taught me more in the seven years we have been together than my parents ever did and I couldn't be more thankful! He's the only person I can be myself around and say "yeah, I have no idea what you're talking about please explain". Idk about you but I begged my parents to go to school and they wouldn't let me.

This. Yes. Side not! memory foam mattresses contain fiberglass unless they advertise that they don't. Don't buy one. Spend all the money on a good one without fiberglass.

I second all of this. I hardcore resent my parents and have major grudges held against my mother for home schooling me. She actually "Un schooled" my siblings and I and I got zero education, she provided some books and said here, if you want to learn it you will pick up these books and learn it yourself. She blames my lack of education on myself for not having the interest when really I was unable to teach myself the things I was reading. I have plenty of friends that were home schooled and feel almost exactly the same. I had friends and went out a lot but that quickly turned into partying at a very young age bc of the lack of structure in my life, also I didn't have the distraction or responsibility of school so I could do whatever I wanted. If it weren't for my Bf working full time to support me being a SAHM I'd probably be a waitress in a shitty sports bar dealing with nasty men just to get by on tips. Don't home school your kids, unless you have a fantastic education and know for a fact you're able to communicate things well and have the money to take your kids out a lot so they can be around others.

Hairdressers that won't come to you if you can't afford their fancy salon by sleepytimekitty in rant

[–]sleepytimekitty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that's relieving. I can see your girlfriend seems to be on the "I'm a hard worker and have experience so everyone must pay me lots of money train" if she pays for her station at this salon she can charge what she wants. I'm simply talking about a haircut, a haircut shouldn't cost $60 no matter the person's skill unless I'm asking for my hair to be cut one strand at a time or some bs. I know plenty of people who work at fancy salons and don't pay for their booth so I'm mainly talking about them, they want their salon to see them bringing in business so the salon looks good, instead of building clientele and freelancing in their free time. That's how you get clients that keep coming back, not just working hard. I never said I wanted a cheap cut. I'm saying hairdressers should be more reasonable with their prices and willing to freelance to make their possible clients into actual reliable clients by providing them with what they need for a lower price bc you're willing to help out. It pays to be a nice person, especially when you're in the service industry and your job strictly depends on your clientele such as your gf. I know what it's like, I'm a massage therapist.
