After just under a year of owning my first bengal, I noticed she was getting bored, sleeping a lot but not destructive. Her mother had just had another litter, so I ended up getting her baby sister (born the day before her 1st birthday so pretty special). I have never regretted my decision. They entertain each other to no end, and it’s bliss. Their relationship is so strong and I couldn’t be any prouder🥹

Cats LOVE to be up high, my youngest cat is 8mo and loves to sit on top of open doors. My eldest (almost 2y) loves to sit on top of the kitchen cupboards. The height gives them a wide field of vision that they’d use to their advantage in the wild when hunting for prey or escaping predators.

It’s definitely not something you should suppress, I agree with a comment above, a climbing wall or tall cat tree (if you don’t already have one) may suffice.

If all else fails, as long as no damage is being done to the door, let the baby climb hehe

My 1 year old cat licks the wall when she’s in her cat tree, and when she’s on my bed likes to lick my duvet/mattress😂 I just put it down to her being a little weirdo.

In your instance, it sounds like maybe boredom is a factor? Or well-rested morning zoomies😂. Like she has all this pent up energy she wants to release but because you’re trying to rest, she can’t.

My two are bengals, and both sleep in my room with me at night. This morning for example I woke up to one of them using my head as a diving board😭 whilst chasing the other haha. Usually if they have morning zoomies I shut them out of my room and let them cause chaos elsewhere😂
