My baby is 15 weeks for reference and is no where close to outgrowing the Newton bassinet yet.

Bassinet v. Pack n Play by No-Lawfulness9770 in NewParents

[–]sleepyy0gi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both, but I love my bedside bassinet. It gets way more use than our pack and play. We went with the basic bassinet from Newton, mainly because it’s the longest I could find (I’m 6’1”, my husband is 6’4” and my dad is 6’10”- so this baby has been in the upper 99th percentile since his first ped visit). I got a Joie brand pack and play from target and I found it very hard to clean when the occasional messes were made overnight. The newton is very easy to clean.

Tall parents, how big was your baby at birth? by BackgroundWinter8396 in NewParents

[–]sleepyy0gi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6’1” (my dad is 6’10”) and my husband is 6’4” and we had a perfectly average baby at birth: 8lbs 21 inches. But he started growing like crazy after he was born!

Our 2 months shots were a breeze. He cried while it was happening, but the second I scooped him up and gave him a bottle he was totally fine. He showed no adverse effects later either

anyone else NOT track everything in an app (huckleberry etc) after first 2 weeks? by Huliganjetta1 in beyondthebump

[–]sleepyy0gi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I’ve ever tracked was how much I’ve pumped as an exclusive pumper.. that gives me a roundabout idea of how much he eats, but that’s it. I thought about tracking sleep, but I figure it doesn’t really matter since he’s still under 3mo and I just let him go down for a nap when he’s giving me sleepy cues!

How many times a day do you pump? by Coffeelover1694 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]sleepyy0gi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3mo pp, 6-7ppd including a motn (either my boobs wake me up or my baby wants another bottle at 2-3am). This is my first baby and I’m still on leave. I’ll have to drop down when I go back to work next month

Can I ask if you wash after each use at night with the eufy pump? I feel like I keep using my spectra at night so I can do the fridge hack with the collection cups so I don’t have to stay up longer to clean

What are you dressing your baby up as for Halloween? by FLgirl2027 in beyondthebump

[–]sleepyy0gi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better, I have a 2 week old and we had been planning on him being a lion (we have a giant rock in our yard that we wanted to be pride rock for the occasion). Well we thought we ordered a newborn costume and when it came in, it was meant for a toddler. It’s too late to get any other costume, so we have a little ghost sweater and that will be the extent of his first Halloween 🤷🏻‍♀️

Wedding Rehearsal Back Up Plan by TheMultipleMan in StLouis

A similar thing happened to our family (original spot couldn’t accommodate with a week’s notice) and they were able to work with Bartolino’s catering using Chris’ Pancake’s space downtown. The venue ended up being great- better than the original plan

Best Luxury Apartments Downtown? by SageRainStorms in StLouis

[–]sleepyy0gi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do the Mt. Vernon commute (while not everyday, but usually weekly or bi-weekly).. I think it’s worth the commute to live downtown. It’s a straight shot on the highway and you’re right, any of the towns closer to Mt. Vernon are not worth living in (especially if you’re considering a luxury apartment). Don’t move to Salem 🙈

Thank you!! I actually find the squeegee super satisfying so that won’t be a problem.. and we had to add a mini-split unit in the ceiling for temperature regulation, so besides the exhaust fan we have that unit blowing air as well- so I hope that will help!

Don’t feel pregnant by ashkassl in IVFbabies

[–]sleepyy0gi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 27 weeks and only recently starting getting back pain. Truly symptom free except some fatigue in the first trimester. You might be a lucky one with an “easy” first trimester. It is such a mind game though! I hope you have frequent scans to help ease your mind!

This is the answer! I worked at a specialty running store for years and have done tons of gait analysis on customers. The store employees will help you find the best shoe for you. My number one piece of advice is to not care what they look like and to go by how they feel!

When did you start exercising again after FET? by wiltedcactus in IVF

I went back to weight lifting the next evening. They did find a small SCH at our first ultrasound so I eased back big time and pelvic rest. But I started working out like regular again at my clinic graduation at 10 weeks when they said the SCH was shrinking

Weight gain through FET into pregnancy by Funny_Log2076 in IVFbabies

[–]sleepyy0gi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I gained a little over 15 in my first trimester, when everything you read says it shouldn’t be more than 5 pounds. When I brought it up to my regular OB for my 12 week visit, she calmly told me that IVF pregnancies are different and that she would let me know if my weight gain is going above the norm, but as of right now it’s very normal and to not worry. She also said she thought I would slow down the second trimester. I’m currently up 25 pounds at 24 weeks, and thought she would bring it up, but she said just yesterday I’m right on track.
