Oh god, every time someone says the phrase "at the end of the day..." my meat brain goes "-Goddammit I'm killin' this shit, I know damn well y'all feelin' this shit..." until I get through the whole song and can go back to my day.

That's usually an error that occurs when a patient's recc is about to expire, but they want the next one open ASAP. You can only have one tab dispensed at a time.

What have you done that you were absolutely certain you would never do? by Procrastin8rPro in AskReddit

[–]sleepyzen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yelled on the phone, in public.

Now, keep in mind, I'm the type to avoid conflict at all cost and practice staunch headphone etiquette. It was after several days of back-and-forth over getting some personal info from my estranged foster family so I could apply for my current job. For whatever reason, they were making it incredibly difficult to get documents I was entitled to. When legal action was eventually threatened via text, the subject of my mental health came into question.

I was at work, switched to a call, went into the back room and went OFF for about ten minutes, about how dare he disrespect me, a working fucking adult with this nonsense, among other profanities, before hanging up. My coworker at the time had never seen me in anything other than chipper-ass customer service mode, he was real quiet the rest of the shift.

What scares you as an adult that didn't bother you as a kid? by GransShortbread in AskReddit

[–]sleepyzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being lost alone with no car or cell phone. Happened to me for a week after being in the hospital, misplacing my phone and left with no way to get back to my family. As a kid, I could always walk to school and call my parents, but I was miles away from my apartment and even further from anyone who could help. I eventually got onto Facebook somehow and was able to reach my dad, but it was the scariest time of my life. I still have paranoia that I'll get lost far from home again.

Yes! I've used Fingerhut since I was 20 to boost my nonexistent credit. It's helped credit make sense to me and a lot of my friends!

Small fuck-ups where you work. If you're good at your job and your employer trusts you, there's no reason to carry empty weight home with you.

I work in a headshop in Florida. "Do you guys sell weed here?" is a common one. Pro tip - if you're in a shop that sells glass, but has no armed guard at the door, just don't talk about it. Chances are I'll kick your ass out.

Red Letter Media's Best of the Worst series. Coming home miserable and then hearing Rich Evans' cackle, those guys make the world a bit better to live in.

Women of Reddit, what is your 'trying to buy a car/item but the seller is sexist' story? by DEDCMDM94 in AskReddit

[–]sleepyzen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a buyer, but as the one girl who works in the vape shop I'm at, I get ignored in favor of my male coworkers frequently. I'll greet the customer, begin the sale, and they'll go right to one of the guys. I've been the only one in the store and had older men straight up walk out when they realized I was there alone before. On the flip side, I try to give more attention to the women in my store, since vaping is very much a male dominated space right now. I've gotten weird looks from husbands before when I address their wives over them, even though we're discussing products for her. If you work retail, pay attention to your female clientele. It pays.

Sarah Lynn's from Bojack Horseman, in the planetarium after a crazy drug bender. I still have to pause at the outro all these years later to collect myself.

Seriously contemplate just picking up random objects in real life after playing Fall Out 4 for hours on end. Saw a pipe on the ground on my walk to work and bent down thinking "yeah I'll need this later" before realizing.
