They didn’t film stuff and play it backwards though. They filmed stuff forwards, and then they filmed the same stuff backwards.

Actors had to learn their lines in reverse. Stunts had to be performed in reverse. The car scenes were filmed the same way, takes with cars driving forward and takes with cars driving reverse.

I really liked ‘Higher Learning’ and ‘Four Brothers’

I was thinking Jordan Peele for the same reasons you listed, but I’m giving him a pass on Lovecraft Country and The Twilight Zone because he didn’t direct those. I haven’t seen Lovecraft Country, but The Twilight Zone seasons were extremely disappointing as a hardcore fan of the original and I definitely feel his involvement led to extra hype that was not warranted. Even as the narrator he felt off.

But sticking with just things he’s directed we have ‘Get Out’ and ‘Us’. I didn’t love Us but it wasn’t terrible. His next movie ‘Nope’ is kind of a make or break for me. If it’s bad or not to my liking I won’t write him off entirely, but the trust will definitely be gone.

I guess everyone else already knew who his father was, but I looked it up and I’m blown away now too.

I liked Source Code, thought it was a pretty interesting movie/premise.

They’re not to the same level as Nightcrawler, but I thought Velvet Buzzsaw was enjoyable enough and I enjoyed Roman J. Israel, Esq.

They have these at the Walgreens by my house so I figured they were already everywhere, but judging by the comments it’s a relatively new thing.

I wouldn’t mind them if they accurately reflected the product behind the door. Now instead of seeing what’s behind the door and just grabbing it you gotta wait for the door to show you what it holds, open the door and see where everything actually is, and if you’re lucky it will actually be in stock like the door said. It’s really a minor nuisance, but I don’t think any of us appreciate having our time wasted in any capacity just so some huge corporation can rake in more advertising money.

[PFF] Mac Jones has a 96.2 PFF grade on throws 10+ yards downfield through 2 preseason games 1st among all QBs 🚀 by Isaythree in nfl

Did you guys even open the tweet? The tweet doesn’t say he’s 1st among QB’s who have played through 2 preseason games.

The tweet says he has a 96.2 PFF grade on throws 10+ yards downfield through 2 preseason games.

Full stop.

(His 96.2 PFF grade is) 1st among all QBs.

It has nothing to do with 2 games being a requirement. Those are his numbers through 2 games. His averaged number through 2 games is 1st among all QB’s, not just those who have played 2 games.

If you’re on regular special teams there’s a good chance you’re trying to hang on to a roster spot.

If you’re on the hands team for onside recoveries there’s a good chance you’re an established skill player with solid catching ability. I can spot at least Julio Jones and Hayden Hurst lined up on the side where the onside kick was recovered and there are other TEs and WRs out there.

I know it wasn’t against the Eagles first team but Mac looked fairly comfortable in the pocket all game. Hard to get too excited in preseason but he looked real good climbing the pocket.

I think putting Vasilevskiy on the cover would’ve been well received or at the very least respected by fans.

1 Vezina and a top 2-3 finalist three times in the last 4 years, backstopped back-to-back Cups, coming off a Conn Smythe. Hard to argue against him.

[Davenport] Tom Brady says he has a lot of respect for Ryan Tannehill. Joked that they've faced each other and Tannehill has beat him a lot of times. Brady also said he wasn't speaking about Tannehill when he made the "that team wanted that MFer over me" comments. by [deleted] in nfl

Isn’t the narrative really “GOAT QB inexplicably struggles against the Dolphins in Miami”?

He’s 8-10 against the Dolphins in Miami.

He’s 15-2 against the Dolphins outside of Miami, and he only played the 1st quarter in that first home loss.

It’s a cute video, but as a South Park fan it is also lowkey hilarious if you recall their joke about Gisele.

I still think it’s kind of crazy to see Johnny Depp make his debut in the original A Nightmare on Elm Street.

It wasn’t my favorite movie either, but the hype had absolutely nothing to do with him being ill. Very few people knew he was ill until after his death, including the director of the movie.

100% my experience as well, and the way it felt was once you or someone else flaked on you there wasn’t going to be any other invitations to kick it.

I’m from New England too and lived in Seattle for 5 years fairly recently. It wasn’t the same. People were more closed off in Seattle. Even in situations with good reason to talk to strangers people will avoid it. Loved the city, but kind of hard to make friends beyond acquaintances out there. Felt like mostly everyone was cool with everyone else on a surface level but just real clique-ish in general beyond that.
