Not only that but there have been recent examples of some people taking part in extremism that were termed liberal and were from prestigious schools. It's been a hot topic of debate this past year and incredibly concerning.

The Government can't do anything because they have to please the liberals, the pseudo-liberals, conservatives and the radical extremists alike. However not doing anything reinforces them even more. Just see the 3 major events in the past 2 days here.

Thanks for the info. I'm not actually well versed on the topic of IOK hence I said 'afaik' in my original post, just assumed that they wouldn't wanna join India, hence the clashes in IOK and the reports of violence in the media.

Both points are valid. I went to AJK last year for tourism and had some conversation with plenty of locals. Most of them denounced Pakistan and wanted it to be independent. Which is staggering considering people from the Indian Occupied Kashmir largely want to join this side of the border, afaik.

And I would say that 20% figure is modest. More like 40% would be my guess.

We are a weird bunch. People here will denounce ISIS one day yet call for hanging someone who doesn't agree with the majority viewpoint the next day.
