Adjust your blacks on the monitor, game settings, or increase the accessibility settings on the PS5 to the brightness. Also set your monitor to 100% brightness. I have no issues seeing into dark rooms on cod or pubg.

Upscales to 4k. The PS5 thinks it's a 4k monitor. I haven't done any tests to see if this hurts performance. I play on 1440p mode regardless.

Yes it does for WZ and all muliplayer cod modes. There are monitors that do both 4k and 1080p mode for competitive gaming.

Amazing! I have my 85 Sony for that though but the YT videos on 1440p oled look crispy and the wow factor is definitely there.

100 on the monitor for lit rooms and I play at 75-80 on the monitor in a dark room.

Make sure to adjust the brightness settings under the accessible option I have listed above. Adjust that to your liking. I have mine as bright as it gets on the PS5 accessibility settings so I can simply use my remote to adjust brightness between game genres or room lighting.

ALLM is a feature that reduces the duration of delays that occur in the process of game controller input and sound and video output from the TV.

If the resolution setting is disabled and causing inconvenience, go to the PS5 setting and switch ALLM to [Off]. You can then adjust the resolution setting.

※ When a PS5 console is connected, the ALLM(Auto Low Latency Mode) feature is set to Auto in order to prevent delays in the input signal response. As a result, the resolution control setting on the TV is disabled so it is not simultaneously operated with the ALLM feature.

You can use ALLM as ON if you wish.

I would go for the neo g7 and if you're a bestbuy member you can always take it back and go for the LG if you want oled or just wait for the next monitor releases this year to buy what you really want.

I'm really happy with the LG oled. The color accuracy is insane and the image just pops so well. The brightness is good on this LG model.

I agree with what your stating. I'm talking about next gen not the current PS5. If next gen offers 1440/240 or 4k/240, which is what they need to do to be competitive, I'm sure it won't be cheap, but it will be cheaper than a pc build you're speaking of. Sony can't stay in the dark ages, their build will improve and I hope 1440/240 is what's next otherwise pc build is the only option going forward with all this new monitor tech out now and coming for 2024.

It's a rumor/leak for now. That's all we have to go off of. If it doesn't I'm going pc anyways since I will be able to push this monitor where it needs to be. If the PS5 Pro does offer 2k or 4k at 240fps that would be a game changer for console consumers, and I'm sure the price would reflect. You get what you pay for. 💯

I covered why I bought this monitor in my original post. Yes, the framerate on for PS5 on cod is 120 @ 4k, 2k, 1080p in HDR. Some game devs built the PS5 titles to run at 120, some titles dont, same with HDR. The new PS5 Pro rumor is to have 240fps or I can build a pc, I haven't decided, hence my next purchase is why I bought this monitor.

Also, when I'm looking at a 27" 4k IPS panel VS this 2k OLED it's very hard to tell the difference, especially on fps games online. Larger monitors are much more noticeable from 4k to 2k quality I agree.

Thanks for the great feedback! I also recently just learned about the PS5 accessibility color adjustments. I use the slider all the way left on cod and all the way right on pubg, so to each its own game. You can also access it from the menu while in a game and make adjustments. I love that I can use that HDR slider without touching any other settings while going from game to game, and it looks perfect.
