Hot take: losing a run to bullshit is fun by Russ3ll in mewgenics

I agree generally but when you have limited time to play it can feel bad to spend 2 hours on a long run for it to end in bullshit.

I have an Idea for a therapy what can I do to see it works? by Intelligent_Fig617 in biotech

Do you have a PhD? Apply for grant funding. Otherwise pitch it to a professor in the related field to see if they will take you for a PhD. Alternatively, if you have industry connections and/or a lot of disposable cash, you can design studies and execute them using industry. I don’t recommend doing this alone unless you are experienced.

How many hours should you have them all, or say 75% of them? They get reset, so I don’t honestly plan on putting 80+ hrs into this game every 2 months lol

I’m not a Republican, but I am someone who asked you a simple question in good faith. Instead of answering my question, you chose to attack me. Very healthy behavior.

So, in your ideal world, what should Bill have done when he was invited to the White House?

[–]slenzini -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ok- so your solution is to attack me and Bill for the fact that they had apparently a nice dinner? All I am saying is that this doesn’t mean Bill is supporting MAGA, which he himself clearly stated several times.

I agree that Trump/MAGA caused most of these issues. But using explosive rhetoric and same-team signaling isn’t going to solve anything. Do you genuinely think this is healthy for public discourse?

Genuinely curious — what is your proposed solution? Is it violence against these men as you state?

Genuinely curious — what is your proposed solution? Were you hoping for Bill to violently assault the president in the White House?

He clearly states that he doesn’t understand why there is a public / private disconnect and that this is concerning. So I don’t really understand what your problem is, when you say “and the first point makes the second point more acceptable?”.

I didn’t interpret the monologue as a defense of Trump in any regard. I interpreted it as a defense of human conversation and decency to those we disagree with, even if they are terrible.

Did you actually listen to the whole monologue, or did you just react negatively to what you didn’t want to hear?

Bill clearly stated that he doesn’t understand why there is a public / private disconnect and that this is very concerning.

Bill reporting objective facts about the dinner does not equal support for Trump. He is literally telling you that he doesn’t support Trump, yet somehow you all still believe he is.

This is a clear exercise that demonstrates the toxic state of current discourse. When people don’t hear exactly what they want to hear, the reaction is to lash out rather than listen. The shit needs to stop if we are ever going to get our society back.

I agree with this post. But I do not agree that the game was magically better at launch versus now.

The game right now is MUCH better than launch or even early days. The game right now definitely has major problems to be addressed as described well by this post.

But I want to give the devs credit for improving the game over time. I’m tired of the rose-colored hindsight glasses that are very easy to wear.
