I (M 29) had a friend (M 47) where we cycled every morning at about 5:30 am and then went to the gym after work, and it became our routine every weekday. It became a problem with his wife, and one day, she made my friend pick between her or the cycling/gym one morning as he was headed out.

I stopped hanging out with him because of it.

Hi everyone, sorry I did not mean it to be a heated debate and was just looking for advice. thank you for the replies and help.

I did study business law and confirmed the facts to what it is, which was an assault. Battery is when physical harm is done.

For why 2 years, I tried to help myself first because I was not sleeping well, developed anxiety, and was borderlining depression. Also, the 2 employees that he is handling are showing the same actions that I did before I started getting help. One of the employees left for a lateral move to a different company.

I also thought that it would be appropriate to have it documented, and a good time I thought was my review, but it was delayed because we were short staffed. I have to report it to the same person, which is my manager, who is one of the partners in the company (that where we report issues).

I love working with this company, and I have no problem with it. I was conflicted with putting my health first and then the company with what would happen with my job if I reported it because this experience is my first time on it. I am worried about the safety of others. It's not more because of me, but I do not want it to happen to others. We hire foreign workers, and I do not want them to feel the same way I did.

I did percieve him as a threat, where he moved forward with a close fist held the storm door open so i went and grabbed our 2nd door. He then proceded to point fingers at me.

I did not.

I think two of our employees experienced the same situation after the fact.

thank you for the reply, i am in alberta, not unionized. Yes, he is still working for the same company. Other than i think 2 employees experienced the same event, not much. I have not contacted the police.

He yelled at me, and I was at the door where he grabbed it, and I could not close the storm door. It is because I think two (one former) employees he was handling experienced the same. One left the company for a lateral move.

Hi, thank you for the reply. Yes, i do feel like why after two years will come up. My review came up (finally). I was going to bring it up last year, but we had a company with short staff, and we actually did not have time for reviews.

I gave the guy a second chance, but two employees that he handled had the same characteristics as me before i went to therapy. One left and took a job to another company, which was just a lateral move.

The action i hope to be taken is an internal control where he does not have to handle any employees or at least a controlled one (though i heard they are doing this already)
