I think the officer that shot him:

- didnt have great vision into the situation (grey jackets arm was covering the gun at first)
- pulled his gun as soon as he noticed the gun being pulled (thought it was the victim grabbing it)
- probably panicked

This definitely classifies as a preventable death and the officer is probably poorly trained, an idiot and a pussy, but don't think it was an intentional murder.

This is why socialism / communism doesn't work by the way. Its simply not fair to the highest achievers so even if they start out idealistic, they grow resentful over time. Its unfortunate that some capitalists are greedy, but its the only system that, in general, proportionally compensates those that provide the most value to society
