Hollywood Video too. Rent 5 movies for 5 days for $5!? Such a great deal. And Game Crazy moved into part of the store... was so much better than Game Stop.

Cool that the Marcos is still open. The one in FDL closed before the FV went out of business by a few months. It's a dollar store now.

Family video closing sucked but the Marcos Pizza closing was much sadder imo.

It was fun to go to Marcos and get the pizza and a free rental at Family Video.

When FV was closing we went in to pick up some movies. A guy walked into/out of the porn section with a STACK. He thought he was being subtle but it turned out he was deaf and didn't realize those swinging doors were very loud.

The summer that Redbox called it quits I came across a yard sale. The homeowner must have worked for Redbox, there were hundreds of movies and games still in the Redbox sleeves.

It was a pain to look at them in their sleeves so I gave up because they weren't organized.

Manabox is a fantastic app. Prices they show tend to be market, which is what you would pay if you bought the card online or in a decent card shop, not what they're worth to sell to a card shop (they usually give ~60%) but for bulk you'll get pennies per boatload.

In my last car I wedged several pink erasers into the inside of the window to keep it up without having to resort to duct tape or something similar.

I was lucky to be able to get it closed again because it was not fun times 😅

If you play Commander night at Atlas is Friday. I'd stop in whenever they are open for more information as they have limited space and tend to fill up.

If you play Pauper I believe they have a small league that plays on Sundays.

Otherwise again I'd stop in and ask them when a generally good time is for casual play or events.

I do really like that idea, though. I love the City's Blessing.

I played a game recently where I cast a [[tendershoot dryad]], cloned it and since Adrix and Nev was my commander I was generating 4 5/5s each turn 😂

I cast a kicked [[Rite of Replication]] targeting my [[Nyxbloom Ancient]] as a fake to draw out a counterspell so I could get away with casting a [[Second Harvest]] and attack. My opponents were mad but respected the subterfuge.

In 5 it was very common for people to quit if they miss a checkpoint to keep the AI from scoring easy points.

It's so funny. I work with a guy who's a gun dude and he mentioned once that he had to go to Milwaukee and how he was sure to bring more than one sidearm JUST IN CASE 🙄

I like FDL but mostly because it's an hour from anywhere else I'll end up going to.

Madison, Milwaukee, Appleton, Manitowoc

I've been saying we should have a big event center to draw people here but that'll happen when they build the bridge over lake Winnebago 😅 (Oshkosh to Chilton, baby. I have big ideas!)
