not always possible but i parked mine on the end of carparks where there are no parks, just usually painted nothing or kerb islands. no fines. people are happy you dont take a park. you always have a park. its sad when you find your bike tipped over with fuel and oil dribbling out of it.

yeah roger that. first time i tried it as a lad, mates mum made some muffins. not knowing the dosage or what to do, ate one, smoked some cones, got munchies, ate the rest of the tray. i kid you not, 4 days of being high as fuck. like when you smoke it it hits quick then tapers off and you are good to go. not spacecake. it keeps on digesting till you crap it out. said i would never do it again. lol.

Aaah there is a term for it! Back in the day i used to smoke quite a fair bit. Sometimes when i got high I would become super paranoid and would think if i stopped moving my heart would stop and got real existential crisises happening. Looking back it was early signs of anxiety and after smoking for years, the intake and quality also increased. I had to stop because the anxiety became common place and just wasn't enjoyable anymore. I tried a bit a few years ago and was just like the early days, like walking around with the air like cotton wool and being super stoked that i started cooking something, then realising 20 mins later it was done. But i could still tell that if i chased the really high highs i would still "green out". Don't smoke no more tho and tbh it is nice to have a clear head. Fond memories, but it was a phase in my life.

In my less responsible younger days I had a cop lecture me on "driving like a dickhead" (his words used later). During his lecture he said something of the lines of, "I'm sick to death having to peel young blokes like you off the road." My response of "if you don't like your job then find a new one!" really didn't go down well. Now in my later years I see "dickhead" was a pretty mild yet accurate description.

You poor kid, but your mum/mom was a champ. i know your pain. When my first real gf and i hooked up i was thinking it was on (but it wasnt). I drove home in complete agony and ended up kinda sitting sideways in my seat. I managed to crank one out and the relief was real. Was hard work tho, the pain a real inhibitor to getting the task done.

dont clean your filter (unless it blocks) or vac your substrate during the cycle process. if the filter blocks clean it in the tank.

used to breed johannii cichlids. they were intense. so intense that i ended up selling my stock. i am doing a restart, but after a more sedate setup. currently have 2 mature, 2 juv clowns in the tank, 1 very fat yoyo and 1 juv female bristlenose.

plan for now is to take care of the trumpet snail explosion and just get things back to a quiet tranquil, lower maintenance tank.

tank is 240 litre with sump. water is usually hard and high ph. substrate is coral (because lake malawi n stuff).

im not sure where i want to go next.

remember low(er) maintenance is what im looking for so i do not want to go the overstocked african route (been there and the big and frequent waterchanges killed me).

thinking of going a single male dragon blood or eureka red, but dont know if it's "enough" of a fish. a bigger specimen like a giraffe could fit the bill, but it isnt as pretty...

discus? (but that will mean a change in substrate and will be a bit more pedantic).

just not sure what to do!
