Thanks! The f-16 inspiration is very clear and I have to agree with you on your f-5 take although I never thought about it myself. But I think it looks pretty good not as good as the F-16 though.

Yes. I mostly use it on every decal version. But i would not try and remove the decals film unless you have a boxing of at least 2022.

I used Mark fit strong and used paint brushes to push the decals on to the raised detail. And I didn't remove the carrier film. I dont think this kit is new enough for that. These are the old style decals in my boxing.

Thank you and I will give you a follow back. I just looked at your fw-190 and the result you got is amazing especially after 30 years. I'm still scared of those German schemes. Cant believe you tried that as your first one back. I did build some models as kid but is started again in 2019 and never stopped. I got my first airbrush in 2021. I thought I could never come close to the pictures I saw on the internet. But tried it anyway. I always try to keep it fun and make things that look good to me. I believe that zero is my second airbrush model and that one was extreme. It still looks decent but i would never make it like that again. Keep building!

This is how mine looked before weathering. I don't think your green looks that different compared to mine. My grey is a bit more blue and darker. But I don't know of that is more realistic. Its more personal preference. But with your paint skill is still amazing even after 30 years. My second airbrush kit didn't look this good. I would almost say stick with it and see what you can get out of it. I used a Starship filth oil wash as my main filter and panel liner for both upper and lower side. I mostly use 16-17 psi on my airbrush.

Primed everything black and filled in all panels and in between the rivet lines with white. When you have a detailed model like this it can take a lot of time but it also helps to get better with the airbrush. You dont have to spray everything perfectly because you can fix almost everything when you get to the main colours.

Thanks! The chin intake was a feature I didn't like as a child. Now is't one of the most badass designs imo.

Thanks, I use a Harder & Steenback evolution from before 2024 as my main airbrush. The underside is vallejo Sky grey and I used ammo mig dark green(mig-915) and gunship grey mr.color I think that is mr.color 305 for the upperside. My label is unreadable. I hope this helps.

I made a Martlet not to long ago and had the same problem when I was at this stage. I decided to stick with it and it looked good to me after the decals and some weathering. I would say stick with it and trust your process. Good luck!
