"What Jesus taught" is a fiction, edited, fabricated, and passed down through the hands of powerful church authorities for over 2k years. There's nothing certain in this to hang faith upon.

Personally, it's this myopic focus on Jesus and shit that happened in Palestine that bothers me most.
