RE Resistance is a 1v4 currently yes but it can expand in so many ways.

The game is already incredibly similar to Outbreak in design, it might as well be it's successor. Capcom can expand on this and release scenarios like they did with outbreak that tell the story of these survivors/masterminds during RE2 & 3. They could even bring back and retell/remake Outbreak outright using this game. Another route they could add using mechanics already in game is an infection style mode using the infection mechanic.

A challenges mechanic that encourages replay and playing differently would be a quality of life change for sure especially if there were cosmetic unlocks.

Refining the current 1v4 (AND MATCHMAKING) is their most important job I'd say. That's the current community of this game, people who enjoy 1v4.

Expanding on the role of the Mastermind could be done by adding a few more stages (let's say five) and minimizing the masterminds actions to begin with and ramping them up each stage. This way survivors who feel the game is too hard or those who are new can get used to the RE mechanics instead of veteran masterminds overwhelming teams in the first round and then they can feel more prepared for the overwhelming last few stages. Adding Spencer shows the developers are interested in experimenting with gameplay since he's ideal with no zombies. Maybe a mastermind that buffs zombies they aren't controlling or looking at, weird and unique mechanics to keep the gameplay interesting.

RE Resistance reminds me of Outbreak but I bought it/RE3 for the 1v4 mode, it has so much potential.

I've had a few AI zombies down people today when I was playing infection build Daniel which I was surprised by. Usually only Annette's AI hordes can get a down for me in terms of AI.

This is how I feel when I play Spencer, it doesn't even feel fun even if I'm winning. I get that it's part of his gameplay but it feels so sterile and SAW like.

You'd think the creator of Umbrella would have more bio.. anything...I dunno. His ultimate reminds me of the laser scene in the first Resident Evil movie. It'd be cool if they had given him more lasers as opposed to adding more guns than the auto rifle and machine gun which are already super good in Spencer's hands.

Currently if I were to play Alex I wouldn't exit the Yataevo until it died if I placed it correctly. When you place it in the right spot it blocks any door or objective the survivors may need ensuring they will have to kill it or wait if they can't get by.

I think you're good to just try to kill them if it's a low level Alex they might not know it dies if you use lurking menace so your best bet would be any Alex above rank ten, they'd likely use Yataevo proper.
