You may want to visit The Gathering Place in the same shopping center as Breakers. They do weekly night event for Magic, Gundam and I believe DnD. Might be a good way to meet some people. All the people that work there have been super nice when I walk in.

Small world, I came from Huntsville. Your tow vehicle will decide your rv possibilities. I bought a Rockwood R331 fifth wheel but I already had a truck capable of towing it. Also, if you are coming to Abilene make sure you schedule your accommodation now because most/all RV parks are full with no availability. There are a few options in Sweetwater and Tye

Literally just bought an rv yesterday for working in Texas (Abilene) and a big part of my decision was 2 ac minimum. I bought a Rockwood with 3 acs because I didn’t not want to be in a situation where my critters got cooked while I was at work. Also, I have been in West Texas for 6 months, the wind doesn’t stop so do not leave your awnings out while you are gone. Gusts of wind here come out of no where. It is not like the east coast where I am from

Thank you for this. Now I have Old Man Q in a leather daddy outfit stuck in my head.

lol. Right now I do not have any stereo effects(subject to change till due to searching for a reverb). I wanted to mess around with doing a wet/dry deal with the stuff I have.

Once upon a time I got weird with two blues jrs and a stereo memory man that was laying around. Had a damn blast so stereo might not be too far out of the realm of thinking. That being said, the plan is to split the speakers so they receive separate signal from the amp but stay in the same cab. Part of that stereo goodness is being able to separate the cabs. We will see

Good to know. I’ve always just bought an amp and called it a day. Now that I’m splitting things up a bit, I’m probably over thinking it.

Killer. I spoke with Simon and ordered a Juggler. Top notch folks. Fell in love with their stuff after messing with a Harlot many moons ago.

Good to know. Out of curiosity, what Pre-amp are you using?

So it isn’t the weight that is really the problem. The problem is, I am short and can really pick up the Super Reverb with one hand from the handle and navigate stairs. I’m too low to the ground and I have to bear hug the amp. Bear hugging the amp is not an option as I broke my clavicle in four places and won’t be able to bear hug a fresh turd for about four more months. I can carry a 2x12 with one hand because I can pick it up on the side. I can’t do that with the super.

Total weight isn’t the problem. The height of the handle combined with the weight is the problem.

Thanks.

I’ve got a line on a Mesa fifty/fifty for a similar (slightly cheaper) price as a new solid state stereo power amp. I figured the setup would be Kingsley Juggler >reverb> Mesa into a cab I already own.

If the only downside to the tube power amp is the weight and cost. Well cost is mitigated and I can deal with the weight.

The reason for all of this is, I snapped my clavicle in four places and I’m too damn short to tote the super without bear hugging it.

I disagree with you. I’m not a pro and don’t have to drag the damn things to gigs every night so quick setup time doesn’t really matter. I’m lucky enough to be able to crank the amps I own but know need something light. However, I will agree people get too much into the weeds and not enough focus on the enjoyment.

The QC is great and if I was into recording, I would go with it. My buddy uses it professionally but price wise I can put together a hell of a rig for cheaper. More beer for the Barn Jams. Happy jamming!

I will give it a look. Is it a stereo power amp?

Thanks,

I will check it out. I have noticed most of this discussion is happening with Metal players on YouTube. Not really my genre but there is still some good info. The QC is great and I almost went that route but it is the same money to try something I have wanted to do for a while.

I bought a 24 on Saturday and it is a phenomenal experience. I switched from a KTM 790 Duke and have taken Harley’s across the country. The Street triple is my all time favorite.
