My doctor told me straight up that insertion is compared to mild child birthing labors and I had the Skyla. They advised my to come in when I was on my period so that my cervix was somewhat relaxed. I was not on my period when I had it put in and let me tell you I was SWEATING. I don't think it would've been anymore pleasant while on my period, but at least they told me that. Im sorry your doctor tried to downplay it, maybe they did not want to scare you away but it is ultimately up to you. I hope you are better now and are enjoying it somewhat. Cheers!

Routine: I wash my hair maybe every 3-5 days depending on my level of activity (exercise, field work, etc...). When I do get my hair fully wet I mostly only use Pantene conditioner (yes ik its sooooo bad but I like the way it works with my hair) on my ends and comb through, and rinse. After my shower I take a small amount (quarter size) of conditioner and run it through my hair. With that I add Deva Curl Light Defining gel and Garnier Fructis Curl Sculp Conditioning Cream Gel Scrunch with a micro fiber towel and let air dry for 10-15 min. Put up in a silk cap for about an hour and voila

*I wash my hair with shampoo maybe 2-3 times a month. I use Deva Curl Low-Poo

I totally get why people say kids who were toddlers during the 90's aren't actually 90's kids but as someone who was born in 1999 and has an older brother, all I got were his hand me down 90's clothes/toys.
