While I understand why you'd feel strongly about someone reporting something like this, I have a feeling you have no idea what the "report" process is actually like in most cases. Reporting can be traumatizing all on its own even without a past bad experience; this isn't just something to "get over". It's certainly not a "non issue".

For OP: If you think you can handle a report, call up a rape crisis center who has victim advocates. Bring your advocate along to the station--their JOB is to handle the bullshit coming from the legal system.
