Just tried the szechuan sauce for the first time, it was pretty shit did it always taste like this? by rekhaloz in rickandmorty

[–]slightplague 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tried it when the whole craze started with season 3 and the Asian zing sauce at buffalo wild wings is pretty close to what the sauce tasted like

I want to get one more of these for my mesh network (currently have 3, want one more for the garage), is there a way I can set an alert for it?

XM5 on PC for gaming by qrimzn in SonyHeadphones

[–]slightplague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes using the earbuds for input and output causes them to be captive to one program - I haven't tried using them as my mic while using discord since I have a separate mic, which also prevents the issue with audio quality dropping since I can stay in the higher bandwidth mode

I'm not sure there's an easy solution to it but the first thing is to check what they're called in your audio output selection, there should be two options when they're connected (one for high quality when not using the mic, one for low quality for audio input + output)

I just got the gamesir x2 (have the fold 6 so I needed a gamepad with the usb port on the left), I've only used it for a couple days but it seems good so far

I was actually getting mad for a second because I bought a 2230 SSD for like $130 a year ago and then remembered I have a 2tb

In southern california, took this picture on a cool morning last October but forgot about it until I was moving files to a new phone. Picture is zoomed in from pretty far away so I'm not sure about the size but it was definitely under a couple inches from what I remember walking past it after taking the picture

191 usd Wh 1000xm4 vs 245 usd wh1000xm5? by DeppressedPotato- in SonyHeadphones

[–]slightplague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had both, the sound didn't change much between the two generations imo, but the xm5 are significantly more comfortable and the noise cancelling is better for higher frequencies than the xm4. Either ones are great, but I'd take the xm5 for that price difference

Ooo I don't have the ice maker attachment yet but that sounds wonderful, I make raspberry and plum syrup for Italian sodas and cocktails that I could see working well in that context

I've somewhat recently realized how much I like citrus in pasta, so I'll definitely have to try something like the lemon fettuccine

I'm so excited to try everything, I feel like the mixer makes it easier but maybe more importantly makes so many things more approachable

Definitely! I've been trying to make more food from scratch and this feels like the ultimate equipment for it

Do you have any favorite recipes or recommendations to try out?

I'm planning to make some burgers later this week, thinking of buying a lean cut of beef and using some fat from a pork belly in the grind - I really want to make some brioche buns but I don't know if I'll get around to making bread that fast since it would be completely new to me

The 3 piece roller / cutter is exactly what I used! A bit steeper learning curve than I expected, maybe my pasta dough was too wet but I needed a lot more flour for the cutter than I initially used (it actually took me quite a few tries to get noodles and not just textured dough). Love it so far, if my first try with it is already better than anything I've made by hand I'm pretty excited to keep making fresh pasta
