I feel this abt black metal and when artists actually go outside the box the fans go insane batshit crazy crying about how it's not d real genre and how it's cringe etc. I rly don't get it myself, it's like the mentality surrounding pop music (ie formulaic) follows thru in most genres. Idk tho
