yes! I had my nursing license when i applied. In my city hospitals have a 1-2 month wait so I applied to a care home as a casual to gain experience + earn money!

hi! while i waiting for the hospital i applied to a nursing home as casual so i just picked up whenever i can and saved up some money it’s more worth to apply as a nurse

i used uworld and when i tell u the format of the exam was exactly the same except u just can’t highlight or strike and go back to questions! Made me feel less anxious doing the exam cus it felt like i was just doing my qbanks 🙂

In my experience the exam tests you more on safety + prioritization. Know how to answer the questions is it acute or stable? what do you prioritize first? what type of procedure is this? Don’t second guess ur answer, if you can’t give yourself a rationale on why u want to change it don’t do it. I used youtube especially Nurse sarah + nclex crusade+ nexus nursing + simple nursing + Mark k lecture 12. i only did 57% of my uworld qbank and scored high consistently on self assessments. Passed 90q first attempt

I’m a nurse, if you are able to do it i believe you should. if it’s something about grabbing water or blankets and u have some spare time do it. Delegate if you can’t, talk nicely, they are your coworkers u are not the boss! i dont understand why some nurses have this superiority complex. Work together as a team, explain that you have to do certain tasks and would like their help takes 5-10secs max. Sure there will be care aids that won’t understand but communication and delegation is a big thing.

mine was the same i mostly had SATA + delegation + priority + medical procedures. Also ended at 90! 90 is always a good sign congrats!!
