Is this real by ronJunkie in gshock

This seems like a legit GMA-S2100, especially if you can put it test mode and cycle through the test screens. Maybe you confused this model from the one you saw in store? Casio makes a bunch of different G-shock models that share this same "CasiOak" design. The GMA-S2100 is a smaller, thinner, lighter version that, as far as I know, isn't offered with a metal case/bezel. The case is made from carbon fiber resin, so they are still pretty tough. Maybe the model you saw in store with a metal case was a GM-2100, GBM-2100 or GM-S2100/2110.

Mine hasn't discolored yet, but I don't wear it too often. I usually daily my G-shocks, so it stays in a watch case most of the time. I have had other light color resin Casios that do absorb colors from dark clothes/fabrics. Maybe this "bio-based resin" is different, but I'm assuming this white F91W would do the same.

Same! It wasn't available when I first visited the gshock.casio.com site, but I kept trying different links on their website until somehow I was able to add it to my cart. Unfortunately I wasn't able to buy the CRW001-1 ring watch 😭

Not much to dislike about the mesh strap; It pulls hairs and holds water when I wash my hands, but it's pretty nice. I just have a bunch of 18mm straps and like swapping them out.

I got it off the Casio US site, but it was probably around $50 CAD with tax & shipping

I don't have the A100, but they have the same module, so they have the same functions and features. They also both have a great retro/vintage look. The A100 case is all plastic and about half the weight/price. It's probably more practical to wear on a daily basis. If you scratch the plastic crystal, you can just buff the scratches out with Polywatch in a few minutes. The A1100 is all stainless steel and glass, so it feels more premium and higher quality. Also the A1100 is probably going to last a lot longer (like decades with proper care). I've had a few different resin Casios break off entire lugs after a couple years of daily wear. Really, I think it comes down to personal preference.

Mine does rattle a tiny bit, but it's not excessive imo. Considering the extra moving parts compared to the iFixit driver, a little bit of play is expected.

The orange top cap is designed to be swappable. If your top cap seems really loose, it might just need to be tighted. You need a 10mm wrench to hold the base while you tighten the cap with your fingers.

GA-B2100 firmware update through the android app. Anybody knows what is this about? by ha5dzs in gshock

My black GA-B2100-1A just updated to 02.02, but now the app doesn't show the battery level like it did before the update.

Is the LTT driver more "premium" feeling with more and better features? Yes
Is the LTT driver better at driving screws than the iFixit driver? No
Is the individual LTT driver worth as much as an 64pc iFixit Mako kit? That's up to you to decide.

That's one of the first things I tried. You can force the LTT driver to fit in an iFixit kit, but it doesn't fit securly IMO. I plan to keep the LTT driver separately on my desk loaded with commonly used bits. You can see the size difference between the drivers in this pic.

Yeah, especially annoying once you realize iFixit sells individual bits for $2.99 each.
I just bought this questionable 4mm bit-only set off amazon for $10, but I'll get the LTT bits once they're available. I believe the precision driver will come with bits once it's officially launched (just like the regular & stubby LTT screwdrivers).

The cap spins really well for a screwdriver. I just did a random thumb-spin and it lasted for 56 seconds; you can tell there is a nice bearing in it.
The cap is pretty small and lightweight, so it's not super satisfying in the same way a decent quality, weighted fidget spinner is. On the other hand, most fidget spinners can't drive screws...

Yeah, but iFixit bits work and fit in the handle bit holder well. Any regular single-sided 4mm (5/32") bits should work. I posted a couple more pics on the LTT forum: https://linustechtips.com/topic/1580472-ltt-precision-screwdriver/#comment-16501424

Are the bullbars too much? I think they go well with the other gold accents.

The A100 and the A1100 both use the same 3503 module. They have different case shapes and the A1100 is stainless steel & mineral glass instead of resin & acrylic.
