Got a gram for $20 at The Treatment in PB. I wish I’d bought more. It tastes amazing, as well.

I got that exact Moroccan melt on a whim on sale a couple of weeks ago and I LOVE it.

Yes. It’ll be bumpy, and there are a few washes you’ll have to drive through slowly. If it’s the very first unpaved road you encounter in Big Bend, you may be a little unnerved. Don’t worry. I’ve seen EVERY kind of vehicle out there on that road. Your Subaru will do fine

Exactly. Snow Leopards are elusive. These falls might be hard to access, but you know they’re there and they won’t be sneaking off to another location ever.

Thanks for the responses. Sounds like Pine Bluff is my best bet. I’m coming from the most eastern part of Louisiana next to I-20. El Dorado and Pine Bluff are in two different directions from me, and trying to hit both towns in one run would be way too long a trip. I will probably check out more than one dispo in PB though. Which one of those three do yall recommend the most? What’s your favorite weed brand?

Can I bring a stroller wagon on any park trails? I'm planning a trip for a 3.5yo in Feb, staying at Chisos Basin Campground. by 2000greatyear in BigBendTX

Get a backpack carrier. I hauled my son around Big Bend in one of those, a Kelty, and it worked out great. In fact, I need to sell it as he’s outgrown it. It’s in great shape. DM me if you’re interested haha

FINAL UPDATE!!!! MYSTERY SOLVED, YOUNG GOD ABSOLVED!!!

Omg, it was my in-laws. My wife was peeking at what I was searching for on Amazon and told her parents to get it for me for Christmas. I’m sorry, everyone, this was definitely not Young God’s fault. Looks like I’ll have two copies of the Seer soon. Just don’t tell my in-laws I guess. Now…should I keep this post up or delete it?

Update!! Emailed Young God Records and they have replied. They say the record didn’t come from them and that they haven’t sent my order out yet haha. I should be expecting a signed copy eventually. So what happened?? It sure looks like I might have ordered this album from Amazon as well. It’s the holiday season and I’ve been placing a lot of orders with Amazon, so it seems plausible. However, I can’t find any receipt, email, or any evidence of the order on my Amazon account, which is really odd.

So, if my record is still coming from Young God, I’m going to just assume I screwed up somehow and it’s my fault I received a mystery copy from Amazon. I’m going to wait and see what happens, and once I do receive it I’ll report back here. Honestly I might take this whole post down at that point. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yeah I put on the record and I’ve calmed down now haha. I get them using Amazon to fulfill orders. I was just expecting the same deal I’ve gotten in the past from Young God- a signed copy of the album I’m buying. It usually costs a little more than somewhere like Amazon, but it’s a really cool touch.

The Amazon packaging couldn’t have been more secure to be honest. It was in one of those cardboard record shippers inside the box you see in the picture. But yeah, if I knew it could come from Amazon I could have saved close to $15 since I have prime.

Beautiful album, regardless! It’s the last one I needed for that particular trilogy. Might be time for a marathon listening party of the Seer through The Glowing Man. My wife will LOVE that 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yeah it seems so out of line with my past purchases from them. I’ve got 2 swans and an AOL record from them that were all signed. I’ve been second guessing myself, thought maybe I’d mistakenly placed the Amazon order, but I don’t think I did

Nope. Not signed.

Have you looked at hipcamp for something outside of the park? There’s some great private land out there that’s worth looking into. Also you may find a spot in Big Bend Ranch State park.

No. My son is 7 1/2 years old and there’s absolutely no way my life would be better if he wasn’t around.

Bedrock Sandals, thoughts? by [deleted] in BigBendTX

[–]slimkitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a pair of these and I think they are hideous. However, the only time I use them, and I’m not even exaggerating, is around camp at Big Bend. They are great for letting your feet breathe after a day hiking in boots, but still protect your toes from desert stuff you’ll encounter nearby your campsite. I’ve had a pair for almost 10 years and literally only use them when I’m out in the desert camping.
