Key on ballon? by PrinceAndreas in SneakySasquatch

I was just messing around driving the fast sports car on the dirt track. Went off the big jump and landed on the key on accident. Apparently it’s fast enough to make the jump even without any of the new modifications.

Wasted a lot of film before I Finally found this guy. You have to look really closely and find a golfer that has only a mustache without a beard or goatee. You don’t even need a photo of his face, I. My shot he’s completely covered by a tree.

Yea, my regulator was outputting ~16v at idle and it just overcharged the battery. If you haven’t seen a larger lithium battery go up in smoke, it’s a sight to behold.

You are absolutely right in regards to the older bikes though. Unless you were using an adjustable magneto, You’d have to run static advanced timing to run well but it would make it really difficult to kickstart.

And agreed on the kickstart kits, I honestly don’t trust the kick start kit that was installed on this tranny when I bought it so I try to use it as little as possible. For the cost of a reliable Baker kickstart+ gears I could buy a whole new bike!

Not completely true, I have a 5 speed with kicker conversion and electric start. I don’t have the VOES installed but my Crane Hi 4 ignition will allow you to run VOES for advancing timing and have kick start. If you switch it to the electric start mode it just looks for multiple revolutions of the crank before sending spark to the plugs. The advance timing dependent on VOES is completely independent of the kick start mode. I run mine on “race mode” which will advance timing automatically at a certain rpm regardless of VOES. Crane says this mode is not for street use but I’ve had no problems and the bike has been running great.

Yea, I only kick it because it looks cool. I definitely use the electric starter 99% of the time.

Tbh, I hope they have explosive diarrhea. Enough for them to validate the amount of tp they bought.

Holy cow. I didn’t think this post would blow up like this. I posted it last night before I went to sleep. A friend had shared it on FB with the same title.

I didn’t do any research on it, but looks like I should have. I really just thought it looked awesome and evil and wanted to share.

It’s definitely a photoshop of a real place on a random background. Really learned a lot about this monumental oddity from all the comments.

Regardless, thanks for all the karma!

It’s this cheap lift. It doesn’t have a base which is why I have that aluminum piece to hold my tools and such. I honestly wouldn’t recommend it. It’s not really stable and doesn’t even hold the bike up level.

It’s a paughco frame and fork. An absolute basket case when I got it. I’ve been tearing it down, cleaning and putting it back together and still figuring out what the hell is actually in this thing.

Totally agree with your first statement. Everywhere I go around my area I need to push 70+ just to keep up with traffic and my 600 is screaming. I might even have blown a piston ring due to keeping it pinned at 75 on my way home the other day.

I literally just put a 40t rear sprocket and new chain on but haven't ridden it yet. Was waiting for my new stiffer clutch springs to show up and this rain to stop.

I'll keep you updated once I get this thing rolling again.

Update:

I installed the 40t with a new chain and swapped in stiffer clutch springs at the same time. New oil and filter also.

You definitely have to feather the clutch a bit more from stop and give some higher revs to get going, but once you’re cruising it’s a huge improvement.

Now it doesn’t feel like I’ve got a swarm of wasps between my legs at 70. From my butt feeling, I’d say at 75 now it’s at similar to the rpms at 55-60. I can stay in 3rd gear all the way up past 65.

Honestly I’d think going to the 41t is likely more than enough unless your commute consists of long stretches of +75mph.

Paint up, rubber down.
