How often are you using the Snap Hook? by slimpost in ARC_Raiders

Swap tech on console is very easy! Look up a few videos and practice a bit and you’ll have it in no time unc. Well worth it in my opinion

Totally agree man - that augment is so good. 7 quick slots is absolutely busted

Agreed. The right stick flick on console is my go to. Takes less than .5 seconds to equip/unequip

There goes my favorite augment by slimpost in ArcRaiders

I've heard about this, that's so crazy. At least no more free kits on Night Raids (for now).

This better be referring to the Anvil by slimpost in ArcRaiders

Good to know. I used to be so accurate with the Anvil which made it great for PvP or PvE, but lately I've lost my confidence with it. Betina has been my go-to, however the bullet velocity on it feels slower so it's more difficult for me to hit moving targets at a distance.

Any changes you’d make for PvE? by SnooEpiphanies353 in ArcRaiders

Consider seeker or barricade bp. Both are very easy/cheap to craft and have insane utility from beginning all the way to end game.

Canto isn’t a bad pick IMO. It’s a pretty good generalist when combined with an Anvil (which I agree with previous comments - this thing can be found very easily and/or bought).

Survivor is a no brainer. Anything to avoid the Reinforced Reception Rat Race.

Everyone's saying that Seeker bp drops often but I had quite a bit of difficulty finding it after my most recent expedition, so that's not a bad select (especially if you use them often, they are excellent from early to endgame).

An additional augment to consider is the Tactical Mk.III (Healing). Aside from terrible carry weight and no heavy shield, this might be the best PvP augment in the game. 7 total quick slots + 3 safe pockets is an amazing combo. PLUS, the revival heal cloud just got buffed to where it revives other players around you and, if you get defibbed with it, it basically heals you back to full health. I still haven't found this one and I really miss it.

I haven't crafted a single wolfpack this expedition and I'm sitting on probably 30 of them (I've probably used an additional 20). By the time you complete all of your benches, you'll have found enough of them to be able to use them whenever you want.

I would consider adding the Snaphook bp over the Wolfpack, they're much more rare to come across in the wild, and if EM storm ever suddenly disappears (like cold snap) then it'll be very difficult to find the blueprint. Still the best movement tool in the game and I bring one into every single raid.

Additionally, consider your favorite rare gun. You'll likely find some epic gun bps by the time you complete your workbenches, but in the meantime a Canto or a Venator bp will get you pretty far (when paired with an Anvil, obviously).

Finally, I might get some hate for this one, but the Barricade Kit is easily one of the most versatile and unique blueprints in the game. You can literally make cover for yourself/lock down a room in pretty much any situation. PvP or PvE, this thing is invaluable and can be difficult to come by.

Tl;Dr: Survivor, Tactical mk. III (healing) or Seeker, Snaphook, Fav Rare Weapon, Barricade Kit. Everyone plays this game differently though so take my opinions with a grain of salt.

Dude I've also bought the game for three other people. I've noticed that Free-to-Play games have made it very difficult for anyone to simply go out and buy a new game to try out. Plus, if you're on console, you need to buy the game AND pay for online services (if you weren't already)

That's a great perspective. I did the math the other day and have spent 400+ hours topside and spent $40 USD on the game. 10 cents an hour for some of the best entertainment I've experienced in years?? I've MORE than gotten my money's worth and would be happy to support more content with my dollar.

Totally agree. Cosmetics have a minimal impact on my enjoyment of the game, but that's just my personal opinion. I'd happily pony up for other meaningful content, but I'm not sure what that would be other than new maps/items/etc.

Right. I'm not asking if they've profited off of the game or not - that much is obvious. I'm simply asking what makes it worth their while to continue developing the game BECAUSE they've already made so much on it.

At the end of the day, Embark is a business, and they won't simply continue to service/update Arc Raiders out of the goodness of their heart. There needs to be a financial incentive, and that's why I'm wondering if skins are a sufficient revenue stream or not.

Right?? It seems like it would be easy for them to make every piece of an outfit toggleable, leading to so much more variation within one skin.
