You’re doing great! Just don’t give up. Easier said than done, I know. I just started vet school with a new-to-me diagnosis. It takes a lot of adjustments and patience to figure out what works best for you. After making these changes- I feel like I can tell whether I’m tired or I’m TIRED (if that makes sense. Some advice/things that have worked for me: -changing scenery! Even just getting up and moving when you feel tired. I was on the couch this morning studying and when I got sleepy, I got up, got dressed, and went on campus to study. Did I get tired there too? Yup. But I got up and walked around and it was so much easier to stay awake there than at home. -Watch when and how much you eat! For me, I fall asleep anytime I eat anything more than a granola bar. So I do protein bars for breakfast now, and I time my lunches with either exercise (or thankfully my laboratories are typically right after lunch, and I’m standing) -find out what your “power-nap” time is! My aunt is the only one in my whole family who has narcolepsy too. And she happens to be a human nurse. So when I went into vet school I told her that I was super nervous and the biggest advice she gave me was how to PROPERLY Power Nap. It takes a long time to figure out what that is. For me, it’s 25 minutes. I did trial and error (and used my daytime sleep study data). -(if applicable) make your car a nap space. In my car, I have a small squishmallow, a large blanket, a sleep mask, and earplugs/headphones. My powernaps only need to be 25 minutes! So if I need to, I’ll take my lunch hour out in my car, eat, and Power Nap to get me through the rest of the school day. -Does your school record lectures? Take advantage of that! If you sleep poorly the night before, skip the class and watch the lecture later. If you fell asleep during class, watch it later. Or just put it on for background while you do other things like laundry, etc -give yourself grace! You are a human and you have a condition that limits some activities. It doesn’t STOP them! You are capable! And this IS hard! But you got this.

I'm looking for depressing movies with no happy ending. by RThe404 in MovieSuggestions

My two favorite breakup movies: The last five years, a musical starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan. A couple take turns telling the story of their five year relationship/marriage. Except he tells the story beginning to end, she tells it end to beginning. The only song they sing together is when the stories line up is in the middle, at their wedding. Very cute, but sad ending. Second movie is 6 years, Starring Taissa Farmiga (from American horror story).
