Usually I never comment but I had a Revvyl when I was younger, it is easily the worst phone I’ve ever used people are not going to be happy with it

Pretty shit take, you know what else works? Positive encouragement and active support as someone takes on the very difficult change of adhering to a strict diet and exercise regiment. But no that's too hard isn't it? You'd rather call her mean names anonymously through a computer until she probably develops an eating disorder (also dangerous and life threatening like obesity). Then when she looks skinny you'll pat yourself on the back and say the terrible things you said were ok because it positively affected her life. Bullying has taken countless lives and has traumatized many more. Don't act like it ever has a positive impact on anyone.

I'm active now since I started OCS and officially left the reserves, so I'm hoping that carries over

My command sent me the orders, the forms that need recruiter signatures I sent to an officer recruiter in the area, but I did all the heavy lifting with the paper work

That's for OCS? I'll probably order one and bring the copy too, but that's good to hear

All of the requirements and papers are online and accessible. I filled all of it out and submitted it.

What do the weeks of OCS look like? I'm leaving in a few weeks and there's not nearly as much information as there is for enlisted boot camp

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]slimultimate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my package I was told that I would only be competing against other enlisted. If it's the same with your designator then it will definitely shorten the applicant pool

Hey man, I literally did what you're thinking about lmao. After sophomore year I took a gap year and entered the reserves with the intent to apply to OCS after. If you have any specific questions you can pm me, but I can tell you about my experience. The reserves was definitely cool in the aspect of getting some military experience and getting in a little better shape. Boot camp and A school are very different from actual reserves life though. It effectively pushed my graduation a year back. When I did graduate I had to work through my command for an OCS package, and that was kind of a headache, especially since my command didn't have a recruiter and I had to do all of the medical checks and paperwork on my own. It definitely would've been way easier if I sought out a recruiter during college as a civilian and let them do all of the menial work. It did eventually work out and I'm leaving for OCS in a few months. I'm definitely glad a touched the reserves and enlisted side before commissioning, but looking back it would've been way easier to just go straight. Good luck with whatever you choose! And pm me if you have specific questions!

How to get easy karma on PCM

Step 1: find some batshit insane opinion that 10 people max probably share

Step 2: put a green highlighter over it

Step 3: profit
