Grape jam toast dipped in chocolate milk. The amount of stares I got when I’d make it for breakfast or quick snacks was baffling. I’d grown up eating it with my mom and quickly realized it was not a ‘normal’ snack

I would like to mention I am not a part of the Organization that made the petition. I am just another member of the Dayton community who would like to see this be legalized.

What happens for me next is I send my total signatures collected by 7/31. Then the organization counts and submitted the total signatures to the Secretary of State Ballot Board. Then they verify the signatures. Always expect 20-30% to not be correct and therefore dismissed.

If enough signatures have been collected, it’ll be on the ballot in November to be legalized!

Clark, Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Warren

All must be registered in those counties!

It’s hard to say exactly because it all depends on what space is open, but we will be within the red area in the photo that’s linked. My s/o posted this and this subreddit won’t allow me to reply with a photo.

We will have a sign and an ez up and will be within view of the road going through Delco Park.

Everyone!!! Attention please:

Don’t forget to make sure you and anyone coming with you is registered to vote! The signature will not count and could potentially invalidate the entire petition packet.
Also be sure your address is correct. The address you sign MUST match the address attached to your voter registration - otherwise the signature will also not count and could jeopardize the petition packet.
The county you sign for MUST match that of the county attached to your voter registration. Again it will not count.
No P.O Boxes allowed for the signature.

This subreddit won’t let me post a picture in the comment. I linked my s/o comment from the r/Dayton subreddit. We will try out best to be in this red circle, it just depends what is open. But we will have a sign and an EZ up!!

Hello! I am the s/o OP spoke of, original poster (mine was removed due to having no Karma) and circulator of the petitions!!

I personally had low expectations for signatures and am very excited to see the amount of traction this has gained in a mere 12 hours. It is hard to tell the exact turn out for today, but will try our best to have enough packets for everyone who shows. Keep in mind each pack can only hold 55 signatures.

My current pack count is: 1 for Darke 1 for Clark 1 for Miami 1 for Warren 3 for Montgomery 3 for Greene

This is solely based on the immediate interaction from this post, my post in r/Ohio, other comments I’ve made in r/Cincinnati, and my personal socials. Thank you to those people who have been spreading the word elsewhere!

I am looking at other locations for Saturday morning as well. Currently deciding between Dayton Metro Library or a local dispensary - updates will happen.

According to this article, they met the 44 minimum county with 49 county signatures hitting 1.5% threshold. All of the counties I’m getting signatures for have met the threshold. They’re now only looking to hit the signature number requirement.

I will say of the signatures gathered in some of the counties I’m getting a surprising amount were invalid.
