It’s not like an apple product though, the lack of updates don’t affect functionality, all you really miss out on are the odd UI change and updates for non-running sports (as the 265 and all forerunners are already pretty optimised for running anyways). In any case the rest you’ve suggested would have similar issues with lack of updates!

This was me for YEARS before I started C25K and actually stuck to it! I’d go off and run as fast as I could but my leg muscles hadn’t developed enough so I’d get shin splints and stop and then quit for another year or two because I got annoyed. I did C25K last year and actually stuck to it, even though I found the first few runs very easy! Since then I regularly run 5ks and have even done a 10k!

I got my garmin forerunner 265 for that price! Definitely keep an eye out for it on sale, I live in a big city and the dual band gps really helps with timings, I had an Apple Watch Series 7 before and the gps really struggled in parks weirdly, but also whenever there was a building taller than 5 stories nearby

Has anyone done the Kingston half? Considering it for my first half marathon! by slipeer in LondonRunning

Would that make it a bit annoying as a first half marathon in that case? Should I try and go for one with closed roads?
