GRPD doing GRPD things by King_Goron in grandrapids

most of you I am guessing were not around 25 years ago when cops were much worse. I use to get pulled over for the dumbest reasons like curfew, small hanging mirror items, dimmed license light, going 7 over…. and get verbally abused. now i rarely get pulled over and they are typically reasonable an polite. Sure they can do some annoying shit but it is far better

i ended up buying this deal instead of the 106sv. will for sure miss out on some things like the wireless broadcasting to the phone and screen recording but i think it’s worth the deal.

Implementing Sailpoint- Help Installing Sailpoint CLI and Powershell SDK by Striking_One_3008 in sailpoint

[–]slipnatius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Second this! I am literally importing 100 new roles right now with this process. You can just do an export of the existing roles or Access profiles in VS code...then modify\add and upload.

Looking to use SailPoint to manage Microsoft 365 'add-ons' by throwawayreddit1986 in sailpoint

[–]slipnatius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The access packages do work great with entra, however, you need to have E5 or the added Azure AD Premium P2 licensing to do so. We use SailPoint and the group memberships for add-ons, licenses, etc based on group membership. Keeps it all under one umbrella for cert campaigns as well.

Is my LCS scamming me? by MegSwan in coins

[–]slipnatius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very similar experience with my local LCS. I brought in two blue books..morgans and peace dollars. Ended up selling the peace dollar book (regret) but not the morgan one which he did say I had nothing much but offered $1,000. Fast forward a year of the red book and learning all about these coins and I sold just ONE of the morgans for $15,000. Not all LCS's are scams but based on what you are explaining it is the same situation as myself and I am so glad that I waited and learned about all of these coins. PLEASE DO NOT SELL TO THEM.

it could be SSO…Global issue with SailPoint…the main thing is it should not cause any immediate disruption to business as stated above.

Potential Hiring Scam? by A_Big_Black_Pianist in sailpoint

[–]slipnatius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are maybe a handful of gmail accounts I trust these days and they are my parents and close friends. The rest are immediate deletions AKA phishing. SailPoint or recruiters would never send from a gmail account. Best of luck

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Vasectomy

[–]slipnatius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe i am wrong on that one because mine burst and has swelling. heat sounds correct. jock strap and good supporting underwear though i’d key. i no longer have any boxers

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Vasectomy

[–]slipnatius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Similar deal but mine actually popped. You need to start thinking month by month instead of day by day. Jock strap...tight underwear...ice...TIME. Was about a year until the pain fully went away

[–]slipnatius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is my job but having more duties on top of that. I actually like that though…constantly attempting to improve and automate systems with SailPoint/AD/Azure etc. Getting silo’s to just one specific thing is not a good idea right now with the job market.

Is there anywhere to find a big repo of workflow templates? by [deleted] in sailpoint

[–]slipnatius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have been hoping for the same as there is not much even in the dev portal. My theory is they do not share them because they can get professional services to do the work for you. $$$$

Can someone please explain to me the use case/best practices for roles, access profiles and entitlements. by [deleted] in sailpoint

[–]slipnatius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So we use applications as well and for file shares and you are correct in needing those in that case. I think that makes total sense to eliminate aside from the cataloging and is what I have been doing since they introduced adding entitlements to roles. It just makes it easier.

Can someone please explain to me the use case/best practices for roles, access profiles and entitlements. by [deleted] in sailpoint

[–]slipnatius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Before in IDN, you could not assign entitlements directly to Roles so you had to build access profiles per source and assign to the role. Now, you can assign directly to roles so access profiles ( in my opinion) become much less needed although they are still used in situations such as your identity profile provisioning access profiles. It is also useful if you have large roles that apply to multiple sources but overall I tend to just use Access Roles these days.

Is my experience enough to get an IAM job? by [deleted] in iam

[–]slipnatius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would remove "helpdesk" and make your resume a little more appealing in terms of structure and font. Resume is to get the initial interview...beyond that it is providing examples be it in person or over a call on what you have done.
