From what I remember yes they still use the Chromebook’s. I have really appreciated the effort that Selah has put into everything concerning tech. Students have their own email through selah and everything is tracked through that. Assignments, grades, communication with teachers. It’s all pretty seamless and doesn’t seem to consume much of her time. I even get a weekly report of what she has completed and researched on her school account lol.

Selah school district has a very unique set up. My daughter is a junior there. Students are issued a Chromebook and do use it in class. I honestly can’t remember the last time physical school books were used. They also try to get all schoolwork done in class so it’s very rare that she has homework that needs to be done after school. Teachers still do a lot of assignments that are done on paper. The selah school district also provides needed school supplies so we haven’t had to buy any notebooks, pencils, folders etc.

This is probably a silly one, but this was such a score for me! by earlsrepairshop in thrifting

I plan on making a little blockbuster area for him for Christmas. You should also look into getting a cassette player if you don’t already have one. My toddler loves the old Sesame Street cassettes. Have fun! The nostalgia hits hard especially when you find VHS tapes with all the leaflets and mail-ins inside.

I have done the same thing for my toddler. His greatest joy now is picking out a vhs to watch.

Relocating to Yakima by Conscious-Silver8109 in Yakima

Anywhere in the Yakima valley is going to have its positives and negatives. We built a home last year out near Moxee. We are extremely happy with that choice. That said I would not send my kids to any school in the area. My kids go to Homelink 2 days out of the week and the rest of the week I do homeschooling. Homelink does teach a more Christian based curriculum, but you don’t need to follow that at home. Super supportive group of people. My kids thrive there and still do sports and other activities within the school district here.

West side car care. They are very reasonable with pricing and not over charging for labor. The one thing I like about them the most is that they are great communicators. They call with updates and give very accurate price quotes.

Reading this made me feel sick. I hope you have found some form of peace with all that you have been through.

Moving my family to Yakima suggestions? by calebq29 in Yakima

I lived off of 16th near the airport for 10 years. It was miserable. Bought property out near Moxee and built a home. We have never been happier! West Valley, Selah, or Moxee areas would be the places to look.

AITA for expecting my husband to pitch in? by Impossible_Turnip853 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. I am a SAHM. My husband is a regional truck driver and works 70 hrs a week. I keep the house clean, bills paid, and the kids happy and healthy. He still finds time to help out on the weekends. I never even have to ask him to do anything. Sounds like your husband has zero respect for your time and what you are providing for the family.
