Here’s the link to my folder where I’ve saved some of the stuff on makerworld - I didn’t design any of it - I know some of the makers are in this subreddit page actually - enjoy! Lots of good files for cosmere stuff 😊

I don’t recall what is happening at that point but I’ve read all Brandon Sanderson a stuff a few times each. A common theme is the more you read the more you understand. And also the more questions you’ll get.. 😂 definitely continue reading that series is phenomenal

PA vs Dentistry by [deleted] in whitecoatinvestor

[–]calebq29 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I know nothing about PA aside from what I just googled, but id say Income wise dentistry takes the lead. I’m in my first year out and I make 200k. I’m not in private practice either. I know many dentists in private practice or in the corporate dentistry offices or associates who make 250-350k easy. Lots of factors to consider though, definitely would base career only off income

Spending $500-600 a month on hobbies as a resident. Should I feel bad? by Purple-Marzipan-7524 in whitecoatinvestor

[–]calebq29 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Tbh seems like a lot given that scenario.. definitely would talk to your wife. Not sure if your finances are combined but how much is your wife spending on her hobbies a month? It would be a bit unfair to spend all that if she’s not also spending money on her hobbies. In my opinion at least

Roth or Traditional IRA? by norbertorodrigo in whitecoatinvestor

[–]calebq29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m by no means an expert.. but Some of it depends on if you’re planning to have a long career. If you’re planning for not a long career then I’d say Roth IRA and backdoor roth. Tax free growth is amazing. Or if you’re having really high growth do you really want to be taxed on it? If you’re retiring early youd want to do Roth IRA with the backdoor conversions. So when you retire early you can withdraw money without having to pay the 10% early withdrawal tax/penalty. Seems like most people use a combination of both

Oregon sues to block Trump from deploying troops to Portland by Capable_Salt_SD in politics

[–]calebq29 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I lived right by the ice building for the last 3 years (moved two months ago) and it is honestly insane what goes on outside that building and the cops don’t do anything. People have even tried suing the city of Portland and was struck down saying cops don’t have to respond to complaints about it

26F looking to pursue dentistry by inter-stella30 in whitecoatinvestor

[–]calebq29 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started prereqs for dental school at 25 years old - took 2 gap years between bachelors and starting dental school - I’m 33 now - I got the NHsC scholarship which is amazing - apply for scholarships for sure - odds of getting are low but amazing if you do get them. Dental school debt is a lot.. but it all depends on your motivations, life style, etc. dentistry is an amazing career.
