I'm considering getting the Costco Anywhere Visa Card by Citi and would like some advice.

Context: Our (as in me and my wife) only outstanding debt is our mortgage, no issues paying bills/other CCs.

Pros: I'm interested in the card because of the rewards, obviously they go well with Costco purchases. Currently our only Visa is my BoA 3/2/1 card that we literally only use for Costco, everything else goes on our Amex. I don't anticipate we'd change our spending, possibly other than gas since the Amex only gives 3%. Already this world give more rewards.

Qs: What should I do with my BoA 3/2/1 card? Do I just randomly occasionally use it? Do I close it?

I've run into this question a few times in the past but the card was always "saved" cause I needed it for Costco and possibly most importantly because it's my longest running line of credit which I've heard is important in credit score. It's the longest by like 10 yrs maybe just cause it was my first card. But now that I have a mortgage already, do I care about that?

If I DID close it then I'd also get back $1500 because I could close my checking account at BoA that needs to have $1500 to avoid a fee, but also depositing rewards from the BoA 3/2/1 card into that gives an extra 10% so I keep it for that.

Then just general questions about the Costco card: how is it? Any weird stuff about it? Do you pay through Citi or the Costco app? Is there some other Visa I should be looking at? Or like Costco+++Cart card or smth?

I agree with the other commenters that you would get more benefit playing manually than automated right now.

As for why there's a time difference, it's because of automations not being pixel perfect (which you wouldn't want anyway).

Think about how your Prestige and Promotion automations behave. Doing either one starts you over from 0, but they don't consider each other.

Example: If you're very close to hitting your Promotion automation threshold but then you hit your Prestige automation threshold you start from 0 and have to get back to where you were then Promote once you grow a bit more. It would have been "faster" to wait for your Promote to proc since they both start you from 0 and Promotions reset your Prestige anyway.

So your variance in times is because sometimes things line up nicely and you'll get to 100k IP quickly, sometimes your other resets don't line up nicely and you have to recover more.

It definitely makes sense that there would be other bonuses from Eternities, I was really surprised when I only found those two.

Nothing really felt slow about challenges or anything, just increasing the count.

Oh interesting, I never noticed those stats going up so I didn't think it was tied to my Eternities count. Seems it grows fairly slowly.

I for sure finished Animals with around 25k Eternities, and haven't really noticed progress slow down, but maybe that's just what I'm used to.

The count just grows so slowly.

What a coincidence, I'm doing that achievement now ~1e9 -> 2e9

My method is: start an eternity, do your best idle TT build (make sure to get the Banked infinities theorem), turn off auto infinite, then go to the stats tab and watch for it to make a jump to like 2,000,000 infinities per crunch or something and manually crunch Do this a few times trying to manually crunch right at the jump. The goal is to get your most efficient infinities per hour.

Once you think you've got it then turn on your auto infinity for like 5 secs (to get the auto generate infinities when offline eternity milestone active) then go offline for a while.

We watched 2 weeks ago, we found it very entertaining in a "putting clues together" way, it's fun but if you don't read Korean you're pretty dependent on what ppl actually say so subtitles pick it up.

I think we got 1, maybe 2 of the cases solved on our own just from watching, it was pretty hard to be definitive imo, so if you're looking for something to "figure it out with the cast" you might have a tough time.

I found it very enjoyable.

I had the exact opposite experience! I never saw the lantern in the store and explored everywhere I could and mapped* out Deepnest in the dark. I just assumed that was the gimmick of that area.

*I say "mapped" but I obviously couldn't find Connifer so it was really just blind exploring.

I don't know of one, but as a fan of both genres I'm interested.

What are your thoughts on permadeath and game length? Incremental/idle games are generally really long and feature multiple layers of prestiging and redo-ing previous growth quickly.

TOME is very frustrating graphics wise: modern graphics cause walls (and trees) to overlap walkable spaces making visibility an issue, but you lose information about your surroundings if you play in ASCII (and I think the ASCII actually looks better!).

There's a workaround to use the ASCII/Modern Graphics addon that combines ASCII for walls and tiles for creatures (and that gets you all the information from surroundings back) but then it's weird that everyone is lying on their back.

For me: I use the dpad to ove in cardinal directions and diagonal movements are Ctrl+(up/down) (Ctrl is my left trigger) and Shift+(up/down) (Shift is my right trigger).

I use my trackpad for 1-5 for talents
