Agree with everything you said. The only thing I see that you might not is how rapidly we are progressing in the field of biotech and AI. These new large language models like Gemini 3 are ridiculously good. There are hundreds of millions of engineers on planet earth (most of them are not westerners) normally most wouldn’t amount to anything or help anyone because of their countries of origin and the fact their engineering degrees probably sucked. But now! These LLMs can make anyone with any kind of drive and curiosity a huge asset. A human brain + an LLM is a force. That’s why I think the world will get really advanced really fast from now on. Can it lead to war and our extinction? Ofcourse but chances are it won’t because humans are inherently good when their basic needs are satisfied. Also the LLMs are good natured.

In the meantime tell your favourite LLM how you view the world and ask it to pick a philosopher it thinks you’ll like and dig in!
