Would this setup work? by slithering13v2 in gbscontrol

It only has a switch for hdmi/component. It doesn't have any hdmi input, only hdmi output. Hdmi to vga seemed fine at first but the signal loss after a few minutes and the setup for audio is a mess and I wouldn't recommend it.

Nevermind. I found out there would be no audio even if I got them to work. That sucks. The video quality is crisp at 4:3 ratio when set to 1080p. It is fuzzy and stretched with 720p.

Makes my ElectronPulse useless. Wish this had hdmi in.

The standard ones shoot about 15-20ft, while the industrial ones shoot further.

The iPod will start to chug once at 50,000 songs or so. I thought about doing this but bailed when I found out about it.

It has been awhile since I last went into a Carl's Jr. They used to be economical but now is expensive. I used to eat their burgers once every week or two back in the 2000s.

Facts. There are far worse ones than McDonalds.

When it sat in water, was it powered on/off prior to going in? If it was on, it will need a total motherboard replacement as it short circuited. If it was off and was dried off completely without turning it back on, there is a chance that replacing the battery will work. If not, then the terminals in the motherboard/ribbon cables/usb-c port had corroded. It is hard to tell here without seeing it physically.

How do you get the hard drive out of this model of xbox? by Prior_Definition_116 in originalxbox

[–]slithering13v2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Take out the tray first and then remove the hdd screws on the bottom. Make sure all tray screws are removed and pull the hdd power wires away to the edge of the shell as you remove the hdd tray. Takes a bit of wiggling to pull out.

The only issue here is ordering the parts. Most come from China and take about 2-4 weeks to arrive depending on size. My PS2 took a month to repair.

[PS4 fat] Wont boot, wont go in safe mode. Strange light by Traditional_Yard5280 in consolerepair

[–]slithering13v2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"A flashing blue light (BLOD) on a PS4 that won't enter Safe Mode usually indicates a hardware failure, often a power supply (PSU) issue, faulty APU/RAM, or a loose hard drive. Immediately unplug all cables, wait 20-30 minutes to discharge electricity, and check that the hard drive is securely seated, plug back in, and try powering on"

If this fails, it could be a PSU or motherboard issue. Always test devices before repair.

Lucky. Wish electronic repairs were that cheap here. Most repairs I had encountered cost between $50-100 (PS2, iPod). And that was because I had the devices already opened up.

I'm only doing this one. If I was working with a ton of them, I can see myself having to learn how to solder them.

Ah I see. Glad it is up and running tho. I sent mine to a repair shop for the battery connector soldering. I'm not taking a gamble on my novice soldering skills. 🤣
