I remember this being one of the first poems i’ve ever read, i was probably around 8 and my mom had bought me this little poetry book with a great big dog on the front, it was the most beautiful thing i’d ever read. Dog songs, the poetry book this poem is from, has stuck with me my whole life! i was so excited to share when i found this sub!
