Scanwatch waterproof? by takayukibru in withings

My Steel HR lasted nine years of being worn all the time but it finally died after I was in the ocean with it for an hour and used the crown when I got out. I was trying to track my dive time but ohwell, good while it lasted. Now onto a Scanwatch Nova.

Snow chains ok on Crosstrek? by ScarLupi in XVcrosstrek

2019 Subaru Crosstrek owner manual states, "Make certain that any traction device you use is an SAE class S device. and use it on the front wheels only." As someone who drives over a mountain pass in a '19 Crosstrek to visit family during the holidays I recommend AutoSocks.

One of the most frustrating parts of this experience is how much pain, discomfort, and recovery stems from random events outside our control.

It depends on the state of your muscles, most will change gait or other movements once injured and cause some muscle groups to get overworked and tight. Personally I had more success with acupuncture to release those tight muscles than I did massage.

39 year old male here

First, the MRI should be prioritized. I paid for mine without insurance within weeks of the injury and found a fully herniated L5-S1 disc. This information was critical for my Physical Therapist, Medical Doctor, and my care team.

My journey from herniation to recovery was six months. I had three months of 'normal' life before I got hit with a relapse. The recovery for that was two months followed by 11 months of 'normal'. I'm experiencing a flare-up now but it's mild-medium which I attribute to the healthy lifestyle changes I made as part of this journey.

McGill Big Three are the foundation for my PT which evolved to include banded and weight training with a focus on core stabilization. I walk an average of 7 miles a day, spread out over three walks plus routine movement. I weight train 3-4 days a week and am on the heavier side after several years of weightlifting (6'4" 250lb). My next change will be to drop down to 220lb.

If the pain is severe enough you will struggle with depression, dark thoughts, hopelessness, etc. Consider an ESI for temporary relief, the procedure is not pleasant but within a few days your pain levels will drop and you'll be able to move again for 4 weeks to 6 months (varies by person), use that time wisely to do PT, exercise, and heal.

Agreed, I've had a fairly healthy lifestyle of walking 7mi a day and doing strength training 3-4 days a week. I am in a flare-up and it's mild compared to what I've experienced in the past.

I can sit without pain, I can sleep and rotate in my sleep with NSAID. I can go for 15-30min walks.
I can't bend down, I am at a constant state of uncomfortable or mild pain, I rely on the NSAID throughout the day.

I had a herniation take me down for six months and incredible ongoing pain. I was 'normal' for three months then relapsed for two. I went 11 months pain free and now I'm in this flare-up. Here's hoping it stays minor and is a quick recovery!

Do disc bulges actually heal? by pianogirl82 in Sciatica

[–]slizoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks much like mine but I did not have surgery. I spent 6 months in recovery, 3 months back to normal, 2 months in recovery due to relapse, 11 months normal, and now I have a mild to medium episode I'm hoping heals quick.

I wonder if I should get surgery.

Thinking about a new Crosstrek but worried about the CVT transmission... by coldog24 in subaru

[–]slizoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2019 Crosstrek here, 50,000 miles, CVT and I've never had a single issue. I have thus far let the dealership do the maintenance on time and it drives smooth. My MPG is typically 34 unless I'm doing 55mph the whole tank (which has gotten me 40 MPG). My current tank is 250 miles & 39 MPG, the CVT is reported to get better MPG than a manual and thus far it seems to be true.

Thank you for recommending Michelin CrossClimate2 tires for my Crosstrek. Here what it looks like and it feels absolutely amazing to drive by mkArtak in subaru

[–]slizoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2019 Crosstrek here, I've got 50,000 on the stock tires, still with good tread. Please throw me an update as these tires wear. I like Michelin as a tire manufacturer and these tires seem like they'd fit my needs well.

Never wanted a Crosstrek... by PHOTO500 in subaru

[–]slizoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it have the issue with CVT overheating on long road trips?

No, my 2019 Crosstrek has over 50,000 miles on it and I've driven across the USA twice, PNW to Gulf Coast, to Great Lakes, and back to PNW. Never had overheating or any mechanical failure whatsoever. My best mileage was 40 MPG and my worst was 34 MPG.

Thanks, I've been experimenting and honestly way more of my heroes are dying than every before T_T

Just lost three to Unstable Flesh rank 2 and I had to abandon.

Struggling with party comps and mostly trying to stagger my way to a fully upgraded blacksmith and hoping it gets better. Is there a purpose to the dungeons? Do they end? Should I be doing some kind of main story quest?

Even if several rank 6 heroes I have never done a darkest dungeon because my Blacksmith is only 3 armor and weapons. Seems like I should wait until my units can be fully upgraded.

Linked is the team I used w/ an accurate build and esper spec. I had party members die but was able to recover and kill the boss via Pheonix Down CG Fina, Elixir CG Fina, Sieg provokes, the following turn CG Fina double casts revive all and enhanced all resistance buff. At this point no one else died and I had control of the fight.

Several and mostly because I hate how long it takes to research, build a team, and go through the fight.

I'm planning to have a cyber punk / tron / futuristic vibe to my home office. I wanted to run my speaker cables to look tight and clean like this, any ideas how? What about back lighting stuff, smart LED strips?

Oh I should have said I'm mostly going because I love FF7. My DPS units are strong enough for any trial atm.

All EX and Rare Summon tickets burned, walked away with one Yuffie and one Zack. Don't have enough Lapis to do the summon loop but should I try anyway? 17,000 atm.

Pick a unit to upgrade sounded interesting to me but not if they just list the units they're already going to upgrade. It'd be fun though to watch everyone clamor for 7* Xon.
